And I''m actually talking about both versions....

If you didn't already know there is a green pad that has more cut then a white pad but less then an orange (available at DD and other places). Also there is one that has less cut then the white pad but more then a gray pad, this one is available from AutoGeek.

I personally have really like these pads as alternative to the typical white-orange combo. Ive enjoyed using them with my DA polisher for awhile and I'm real excited to get using them with the rotary.

So who likes or dislikes using these pads? What polishes are using and what machine?

I have the green one from Danase (more cut than LC orange) and it's pretty bad. It leaves marring like crazy but on the other hand cuts pretty well. There are better alternatives than a heavy cut foam pad to use with polishers.

really? hmm that interesting I havent seen that at all. So your saying you get more marring then even an orange pad?

I like that pad because its softer and somewhat easier to work with than the orange pad but still cuts well.

what polish and machine/speed did you try them with budman?

I use the green from Danase (the euro green) and I like it a lot. It seems to work for me. It does feel softer but seems to cut nicely with Wolfgang TSR and a UDM.

I have both, the green from Properautocare and the green from Autogeek. The green from PAC only comes in 6.5 inch and works fantastic. Cuts very well and seldom leaves any kind of marring, even when used with SIP. The green from Autogeek I have in both 5 and 4 inch sizes. They don't cut as well as the one from PAC but because of their softness they work well on rounded fenders etc but still cut quite well when used with SIP or Power Finish.

I have some green LC CCS 6.5" pads from properautocare; are these supposed to be more or less aggressive than the white LC CCS pads. I also have some flat 5" green pads from detailersdomain and they are much stiffer than the ones from properautocare; are these supposed to be more or less aggressive than the orange LC CCS pads? I was under the impression all of the LC green foam was supposed to more aggressive than white but less aggressive than orange.

I use the Green CCS as well. It's a nice step when you don't quite need the Orange pad. I have used it on the PC with SIP and 106FF.

    The green pads are great.

Yes. These ones cut more than the white but less than the orange. I found that the green LC CCS from Autogeek weren't as aggressive. They even feel "softer". As far as the green flat pads, I think we need to compare apples to apples because the 3M compounding pad I just got from Polished Bliss is flat and green.

I think my green LCC pads came from the 'geek..I don't remember. It's my least-used pad although I did use it today! Go figure.

yes the green CCS pads from autogeek are certainly different from most other places.

You can feel an obvious difference. AG green pads are less dense and softer then a white pad, and the other green pads are more dense and much stiffer then a white pad, but not as much as an orange.

What polishes do you guys like to use with each kind? Using them with a rotary?

I'm wondering how SIP will work out with the heavy polishing green pad on the rotary

I am a big believer in the LC CCS green pads from DD. I recently did a black Semi-tow truck. Green pad with SIP followed with LC CCS white with Micro Polish. The combo really made the pant have depth, and the gloss was fantastic.

My greens are from Proper Autocare and Im surprised I don't see them being used more often. Love mine

Same here. I just wish that they would make them in a 5 inch size as well.

These are a few years old, 7.5" LC Variable Contact pads. The PPI is much lower than all of the pads I have. I haven't tried any other green pads - CCS or flat.

I love the green CCS pads from PAC except for that lame velcro backing fabric. All of my 6.5" PAC CCS pads have had problems with the backing fabric coming loose. I reglue them but the pads will start to loose their roundness after a few cleanings. It looks like the fabric streches in one direction but not the other. I guess it is shrinkage of the fabirc causing the foam to mis-shapen

Which green pad does DD sell? Is it different from the one at PAC?
