So. I detailed my sister's Honda Fit that hasn't seen a wash in years.

I washed with an LSP stripper then followed with the Iron Cut soap. I applied it on an Uber pad then smeared it on the damp car. It started to foam up but even after finishing the car nothing happened as far as I could tell. No red smears of chemical reaction.

I know most people use the Car Pro spray version. So did I apply incorrectly or what happened?

BTW...my mild clay didn't remove all the contaminants but I don't have stronger clay :(

I could have spend 20hours on this car.

Did you use CarPro's Iron X Soap?

We don't have Iron Cut in a Soap...

Sorry...It's the Iron X Soap; I always confuse the two.

that happened with me, I used carpro IronX on my car, and nothing......... I guess there was no deposits, I think on the entire car there was maybe two areas it turned purple. lol

Could also be that the contaminants on your car are not metallic. Things like road tar will not be affected by Iron X.

Maybe your car was just really clean?

    Sounds like winning to me.

exactly, I was thinking maybe its not working right, and sprayed my other cars wheel and it turned purple so I guess my car was pretty clean..............

I guess the car was soiled...just non-metallic. I find that to be extremely surprising by how trashed the car was though; but anything is possible.

    Thanks guys.

I'll give it another shot on other cars soon. I still have Iron Cut spray to try too.
