Here is the write up I did last year when I corrected my car, just never posted it (I think) anwway………..so here it is. Some of you may remember the issues I was having with the clear, but this is what I ended up doing, took me about 15 hours to get this done for a car show, this car at the time had 19500 miles on it, and was in immaculate condition, so mostly was just a correction for the purpose of Cquartz. Wash: Dawn, Opt PC, and Chemical Guys Citrus Daily (stripped the LSP, MPL and P21s100% right off) Clay: Green Sonus and Chemical guys Luber Wheels: Dismounted for powder coating, then treated with Zaino Z2 Tires: Chemical guys VRT Wheel wells: Pressure washed Undercarriage: Brand new Race Comp Tarmac 2 protected with MPL Glass: Stoners, then rainX Polish: Menzerna SIP, Powerfinish and then super finish LSP: Cquartz I sadly do not own this car, I sold it to get a larger vehicle, but I will be getting something in the new future……. Sorry, I do not have more “process pictures” I wish I had taken more.
Your car looked great. How did your paint fair with rock chips? I know you sold it with really low miles...were you starting to see any issues with rock chips at that point? I see so many Subaru's with that being a real issue.
Yeah, there were a few chips here and there, nothing major. I was really careful how close i was to other people when driving, especially on the freeway. Out of all the cars I have owned this is the one I miss the most.........
Hahaha. I'm actually making a day trip back up there sometime this week. Hopefully the stink won't make me regret my decision.:shakehead:
