I recently was at my local Pep Boys picking up some detailing supplies and I came across a Kawasaki 7" rotory polisher/sander. The price was roughly about $70, so I figured I'd pick it up cause I wanted to start buffing/polishing as part of my business as well as for my own cars. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but after joining this forum I've been doing some research and it seems most novices start out with the Porter Cable 7424. I definitely plan on going to the local junk yard and picking up a couple panels to practice on first. I'm all set with ruining my 06 Avalanche's finish. I just wanted to see if I can achieve the same results with this as I could using the PC 7424. From what I've read the PC 7424 is better to start out with since it really can't harm your paint too much as you could with the rotory polisher. Any comments, advice, ideas would be greatly appreciated. I did try to search on this type of polisher, but I don't think anyone has posted anything about it.
I can do ya one better if you have a HF near by: 7" Electronic Polisher 7" Variable Speed Polisher/Sander
How are these cheap polishers compare to makita or flex ? Seems to have all the features like variable speed and all ?
As far as I can tell it has all the same features as the makita or flex. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, and I've never used the makita or flex. I'll keep everyone posted on how it works. Hopefully get to try it out this weekend.
Where the difference is will show if you are going to use them daily. They are not of the same quality Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
