Hey guys I just won a 7424xp from Detailed Image. I already have a regular 7424 and was just curious is it really that much better? I tend to use my flex for most jobs but wouldn't mind being able to produce a little more correction with the pc. Thanks in advance for any info.
No, it is total junk. Have DI ship that unit to me and I will dispose of it properally for you :drinking2: J/K Congrats on tha win :headbang:
It has less vibration and the wheel to select the speeds is the only difference i could tell when i used the new PC @ Cg
Its kinda ironic though, I used a rotary for the first time over the weekend and feel in love with it. Now I'm going to have two Pc's and Flex... Hey free is free though. Thanks for all the kind words guys!
I would sell your old PC while you still can. It will also give a newbie a chance to buy a machine for cheaper to get into it, while you make a couple bucks in the process. :thumb:
Congrats man! I played around with the new one and would keep it. More power, less vibrations, little better built. Sell the old one for a few bucks and have a great time with the new toy!
I think the 7424XP goes up to 6800 opm on speed 6 and the old 7424 goes to 6000 opm on speed 6 at least thats what I remember reading.
I'm pretty sure your correct on the specs. I had a flex and loved it but moved up to a rotary and sold it. I figured between the 7424xp and a flex rotary that I had the bases covered. I do feel that the flex had a bit better correction, but the pc is by far easier to work with.
