Ok this was real quick detail I did yesterday for the girl that babysits for me. She wanted her "baby" to look good again so I told her I would hook her up. I also wanted a car to try out my new Tropi Care TC-2 Crystal Black Carnauba Creme for a LSP. It states its best on dark colors and since this thing is purple I decided to use that. Also since I see this car so much it lets me know what the durability is. Anyway nothing fancy but here's what I did for her:

Tires/Wheels/Wells: Since this thing has hubcaps I just used my concotion of MS Super Green Stuff at 3:1 and 1 oz of CGs CWG in it for a wheel cleaner. I used one of the HD brushes I got for cleaning the hubcaps. For the tires and wells they got the ol' standby Majestic Solutions Super Green Stuff at 2:1 in a Solo 418 handheld pressurized sprayer, and some of the brushes I got from Home Depot. The tires were first dressed with Megs Hyper Dressing @ 3:1 with a MSs tire applicator. I then dressed them with a TW tire applicator and my new favorite, Tropi Care Tire Dressing. I'm telling you this stuff gives the best look to tires that I have ever seen. Wells were dressed with my combo of MS Mr. Natural/Megs ASD.

Engine: I gave the engine a quick rinse with the CR Spotless system and sprayed it down with MS SGS. There was a lot of dirt in just about every crevice there was so I agitated it and re-rinsed. I dried most of the water with a leaf blower and then sprayed the engine bay down with Megs HD @ 3:1. I cranked the engine and let it run for about 20 minutes and it turned out great.

Wash: I went with the Karcher and my foam cannon with 1 oz of another Tropi-Care product, their Citrus Wash and 1 oz of CGs Citrus Wash Clear and 1 oz of CGs Strong Wash. As good as this combo cleans I knew nothing was going to be left behind. Hopefully Tropi Care will have a new version of the Citrus Wash that will foam more very soon. I used the two bucket method with Tropi Care Car Wash and a rinse bucket, both with a grit guards. The bugs got CGs Strong Wash @ 4:1 in a Solo 418 handheld pressurized sprayer, and a Majestic Solutions bug sponge. The entire wash including wheels and engine were done with the CR Spotless System. The car was then dried with the leaf blower, and a Vroom drying MF.

Clay: Well this section is starting to get like my engine section in that it doesn't change. I am sold 100% on the Bilt Hamber Clay and I don't plan on changing. As usual water from the CR Spotless was the Lube and the clay did a phenomenal job.

Glass: Glass inside and out got Sprayway Glass Cleaner. I used a MS blue huck window towel to apply and a Walmart WW to buff off.

Interior: The interior was pretty dirty. The girl is a knock out that loves to hunt. When she came to pick it up I told her "You know when you go hunting you can leave the woods there instead of trying to bring it home in your car". After a good vac I cleaned the entire interior with MS Leather and Plastic Cleaner. It did a great job and knocked out all the dirt and grime. I also managed to have enough MS Carpet Spotter HD left to get the drivers floor mat. I bought some more of the Carpet Spotter HD today so I don't run out anymore. I cleaned the door jambs with a mixture of MS SGS and CGs Total Green Clean in a pressurized sprayer while washing. I used a Swissvax brush and rinsed with the pressure washer.

Paint: Well I went with my favorite paint cleaner first, DG 501. I decided to use my Cyclo with a couple of white LC CCS 4" pads. I removed it with the Yellow and black MFs from Justing at Obssessive Details.

LSP: Like I said earlier I wanted to try out the TC TC-2 Crystal Black Carnauba Creme. It says it looks best on dark colors so I went with it on this car. It also says it works best when applied via machine. I haven't put LSP on via machine in a while but put a couple of blue LC 4" CCS pads on my $25 Cyclo and went to work applying the TC-2. One thing about the TC-2 Crystal Black is that it is indeed black. Kind of took me by surprise when I put it on the pads.

It did leave the paint with a great deal of slickness and a very very very deep dark shine to it. I was really impressed with the look of it. It's pretty brain dead easy to use as well. It went on like butter and wiped off with a CGs 530XL MF just as easily. No lie my 5 year old could have removed it. I let it sit about 30 minutes before removing. The shine was so good that I didn't even do a QD wipedown before she picked it up.

Well here are the before and afters:

Thanks Karl she was really happy with. I'm looking forward to see how this new LSP holds up.

Thanks I liked the stuff on the car. If it has any sort of durability then it'll be a keeper for sure.

Thanks Heath! I was amazed at how deep and dark it looked when I buffed off the Crystal Black.

    Thanks Sal.

    Much appreciated Erik!

Is that frozen water at the edge of your driveway in some of those pics or is it just some other white liquid ?

That looks great on that color. My only request would for you to 'accidentally' rip that front license plate off.

Oh I'll definately keep you updated.

Oh a ton easier than the one you are working on I'm sure.

    Thanks Nica.

Thanks Jason you are exactly right. She takes great care of my kids so I take great care of her car. I think I'm getting the better end of that deal!:thumb:

    Thanks Corey, much appreciated.

    Thanks so much supercharged.

That's not frozen water Carn that's foam from the wash still left over several hours later. I get an insane amount of foam.

Thanks and yeah I'm not a real fan of air brushed license plates either.
