Recently Jason & Kevin came by to work with some products in development(Which I cannot provide details as of yet) and I can say though that there is some really cool stuff coming pretty soon that will help all of us work better. I have a real appreciation for just how much Jason has on his plate with the constant calls from corporate and overseas clients and suppliers........................mindboggling, and also Kevin aka KBMethod is a consumate pro who knows his poop.............. to see him work on paint was fun, and he does not take himself seriously but should get WAY MORE ACCOLADES than he does. Here is Jason & Kevin working with the soon to be in our hands gear. Kevin needed some water to extend the cut of another pass....Jason thought maybe some poured over Kevin's head might still make it to the panel below. Three different parts of a panel on hard PPG Ceramic paint on a Ferrari 430, Jason had the timing of me buffing down to the second along with other controlled elements to get a true side by side comparison. Working late into the night.........................(what else is new....). Using one of the "New pads" with my Festool. Kevin with a current finishing microfiber pad, but with his Olllllllddd G110 first gen machine which he loves. It was great having them at my shop and hope to do it again when time permits.
Great to hear more new products are in the pipeline. Its hard to wrap ones hands around all the changes the detailing world is going through lately. Thanks for sharing.
How is that Festool DA working for you? I assume its a DA from its size. When might we see these new products hit our shopping carts at our favorite online vendors? Sent from my HTC Sensation using Tapatalk 2
Could not get you a exact date as the products are still being refined, hopefully soon enough as I will also be first in line as well. The Festool works great on big panels(Like SUV's that I avoid....) with 7" pads.
Bob- I didn't realize this thread existed! Thanks for letting us use your facility for the day (into the night), making sure we knew our way around town, and returning the rental car for us. You've got everything needed in your shop to turn out the best work anywhere... lift, machines, plenty of space (but this is all icing on the cake). Most importantly, it houses YOUR skill, integrity, and pride. No artistry involved; instead, a real American Craftsman. I feel very comfortable working with you. Jason and I hope to head your way again. You are someone I look up to, and are among the best in the U.S.A. (and the world, no doubt).
Like Bob stated these products are amazing! I had the pleasure of having Jason Rose & Kevin Brown come to the shop for testing and I will say I'm blown away!
Well not to make this a "Gladhanding you are so great thread" but thanks for the kind words Buffdaddy............................. just to be in the conversation as being a top correction guy is good enough for me, I hope everyone realizes the impact Kevin has had on the ENTIRE trade(Auto detailing) just pick guys from all over the country who owe alot of what they know and use to "The KBM" method and manafacturing companies making products now make said products around this paint correction method. Glad you and Jason(Stand up guy!!!) had the chance to meet with "Bobby Bottle Service" aka "Lewchee Elite" and work on that Land Yacht(Drophead Coupe) and the GTR with the "Suckness" paint, good tests for the new gear coming out...................... all nicknames for the "Jimothy" are copyrighted by Bing/The "J" and myself.....out. :giggle:
