My dad just came back from HK and brought me 2 Japanese window coatings (polymers?). One, of course, is AmetVi which was talked about in the forum before. Only issue is that they are in Japanese and I can't figure out the directions nor do the pictures help much.

    Second item is this.

G3 Glass coating, similar to G-Techniq? Anyway, it is comprised of 2 bottles, a compound type thing and a spray. Anybody used this before? I also don't know how to use this since it is completely in Japanese.

I tried the translator and it is very broken English. Can't make sense of all the numbers.

I have attached the instructions for both products. Click on them to enlarge them even more.

I have no clue what the 1st label says.
But the 2nd label says it's suppose to last 18 months before it completely fails.
    The intruction said to:
    1. Apply the cream looking thing with sponge.
    2. Apply an even coat
    3. Leave to dry
    4. Spray it with the G3 liquid thingamajig
    5. Wipe it off with MF towel
    6. Done!

BTW, I only understand the Chinese words, in step 3 it said to leave it "dry" in Chinese, but in Japanese it could have meant to leave it until it "hazes". Better to confirm step 3 with someone else would speaks/reads Japanese.

    ok from my msn....

From 40km/h onwards, even if it rains you'll be able to see
Bugs and crap on your windshield? will fall off
Step 1: Clean the crap off your glass
if it's a cold day, use the heat in your car to warm the glass up
Step 2: Open the thing up
and take the cover off the filter
Step 3: Use the filter on the glass
to use it you have to push the sides of the bottle?
    or something
you can adjust the position of the handle thing depending on whichever hand you use
Step 4: When you're done, put it back in its original position and cover it again
Step 5: Wait 5 minutes, then wipe the glass off with a damp towel
    then wash the towel
    the 2nd one too?

and for the other one ...
    1. clean the glass, squeeze the crap out on a cloth (cotton?)
    2. rub the crap all over the glass gently
    then once you're done
wipe down the glass with a damp or wet towel
or you can wash the glass
    cap the bottle
    3. use your wipers
    4. open up the spray bottle
    5. the range on the thing is 20x20cm, spray once then use a microfiber cloth to wipe the glass clean
    after
don't let the glass get wet for 2 hours
if its too hot, or too cold then wait 24 hours
    okay anything else?
i'm not responsible if i got it wrong
    though i'm sure i didn't
