KING RANCHED!!! On Tuesdays I normally do a lot of wash and vacs for a local construction company, but w/ the market sucking right now they had to cut back and I got cut. Oh well, I was able to pick up another Tuesday gig today. I know a lot of you only want to do full correction details, but I do what pays the bills. Of course I would like higher end stuff, but money is money right now. Hopefully I’ll pick up some more details in the future. I’ve only been full time for 6 months now. The company I worked for today puts in underground utilities for large developments. They have a lot of trucks that need cleaned once a week. I convinced them to let me do an express detail job on the three owners trucks today and wash a few others. The first one is 2007 Black 250 King Ranch: Process: Wash w/ NXT via foam gun Tires w/ purple power Rims w/ meg wheel brite Polish w/ 106 mixed w/ DG 501 via PC (thanks AL53) Waxed w/ magic 845 Tires dressed w/ meg hyper dressing w/ spray gun and air Compressor Pictures: The next two were a 2006 White 150 King Ranch and a 2005 White 250 King Ranch: (same process for both) Process: Wash w/ NXT via foam gun Tires w/ purple power Rims w/ meg wheel brite Polished w/ Opt. Poli Seal via PC Sealed w/ Opti Seal via PC Tires dressed w/ meg hyper dressing w/ spray gun and air Compressor Pictures: I know it’s not as flashing as some of you guys work, but I thought it was pretty cool doing 3 King Ranches in one day. I just got my flex, so hopefully I can get into some more correction jobs.
Great work their shady! I have done 1 King Ranch so far. Funny thing is the guy said look don't use any of your leather conditioners on it because I have the stuff from Ford made specially for the leather in the King Ranch. I was like OK my stuff is really good but I'll use what you want. Well when I pulled it out it had the Ford King Ranch logo on the front so I flipped it over and looked at the back and guess who manufactured it..... "Brothers Research Corporation aka Duragloss. I just sort of grinned and used his stuff and saved mine!
Hey, there is absolutely nothing wrong with just doing a wash and wax. You are damn right: money is money. Very fine work my friend, you should be proud of yourself!
I think that Dust2Glory told me that, too! So the Duragloss Leather Conditioner is safe to be used on King Ranch leather? Good, cos I have two full bottles of it! It was on sale at Carquest, couldn't pass it up. Works so well!
I've got a helper, and the black took about 2 hrs and the other two took about 1.5 hrs each. We work together on washing and interior work on the first one then she goes on to the next one for a vaccuming while I polish and wax.
What's great about forums is that you get to see avariety of details and you shouldn't be to hard on your self shady, doing those vehicles is not as easy as it looks. I don't know about you but those trucks look great :chest: and not to mention huge
Nothing wrong with not doing a full detail, you did some dam good work cleaning up those trucks.
Great job Bradley..they all look great....lots of metal there to clean and polish.... also I have told many that DG makes the King ranch leather stuff for Ford...they also make some other products for Ford and a few other manufacturers including the sealants for them...may be surprised who they make stuff for..... Great Job Bradley...Georgia's #1 detailer in my books AL
Paint corrections on King Ranches sucks. I have also heard DG is the same as King Ranch conditioner. But as you know, it is not coated.
Thanks a lot! I really appreciate all the compliments. Now that I've got the flex and can do some real correction work I'll be able to consider myself more of a detailer vs. a wash and waxer. LOL!
Nice Job Shady. Magic 845 I know you stated its product x and 845. How long before you see the product x wearing off? or did the 106 cleanup well enough in this case?
