Masking off the rest of the vehicle would have been a good idea and a proper paint booth even better as for the spraying technique :giggle:
A guy on another forum I frequent is convinced this product is the bomb and will last 5 to 10 years. I, personally, am very skeptical and was hoping someone here would know the detailer or have heard of the product.
Well, for starters, a real Painter would have the glass, etc., all papered and taped, off, would have tack ragged the vehicle, again, right before the first product came out of the gun, and would have started on the roof first. This way you dont have to worry about hitting the sides with your body or the hose, etc., Yes, he does not know how to let off the trigger at the end of each pass and then come back with the trigger in. He has essentially sprayed a huge more amount of material at the end of each pass than what is normally done. With the floor not being wet to help keep dust from blowing up into the paintwork, and sticking in the paintwork along with the "glass", I would hate to see what this looks like when it dries and you cannot do anything to remove the stuck particles easily.. I think that any type of spraying especially to an entire vehicle, absolutely has to be done in a clean booth with clean filters, the vehicle discharged of any static electricity, and an absolutely clean, damp, floor, to keep from kicking up anything onto your paint. Sure saves on how much time you spend color sanding and then the subsequent compounding, etc.. ( I am referring to a complete paintjob here, not what this guy did).. Dan F
