Is the 3M backing plate significantly better?

    I own five backing plates and use the Meg's W-64 most frequently. I was wondering if the 3M backing plate significantly improves polisher maneuverability and if it offers any other benefits in comparison to the Meg's plate I'm using now. Below is a link to the Meg's plate so you guys know which one I am referring to:

    Thanks! I've got the w66 backing plate.Just wanted to see if the 3m was worth the $60.00 bucks.

    I had a W64 BP and the 3M UK BP before but I got rid of the W64 BP. I found that the W64 dug into the back of the pads with its edges. The 3M BP is more forgiving and, IMO, can handle body lines a lot better than its competitors.
