The vehicle is back :thumb: this time it was all about the interior, the vehicle is a: 2009 Infinity G37x Here is how the vehicle arrived: Overall the vehicle was in good conditions, the owner once again stuck around. He wanted to see how I could turn the leather around and how I did it. Well first thing is to vacuum the interior: Once I was done with the vacuum the steamer was ready to go and it was steaming time :thumb: First up vinyl trims: After a thorough steam it was followed up with a wipe down with a yellow micro fiber towel and finished off with the air compressor to remove any left over water: This process was carried out through out the entire interior once the vinyl trims were done it was time to concentrate on the leather seats, once again the steamer is put to good use with yet another yellow micro fiber towel: Once the leather was cleansed it was re-conditioned with Zymol Treat: Massaged in by hand: The owner of the vehicle was impressed with the difference Treat made to the leather :thumb: Moving on, it was time to dress all vinyl trims, for this Zymol Vinyl was used: Final step was to give all vinyl and leather seats a wipe down to remove any excess product left behind. The windows were taken care of via Stoners Invisible Glass and a glass micro fiber towel. I decided to give the interior another pass with the vacuum. The floor mats were vacuumed followed up with steam. Well that about concludes the interior, the owner and I got chatting about Vintage and it was decided to put a coat of Vintage on the vehicle, first the vehicle was washed via ONR with the two bucket method of course. Then a coat of Vintage is applied via foam applicator: Finally the vehicle is given a final wipe down with Zymol Field Glaze. Well that about concludes this vehicle, here is how the vehicle finished off: Well hope you enjoyed the detail.
The G37X has a very nice interior. I'm not that familar with it. Very nice job, It looks great...:thumb:
Looks better than new!! Have you had any ill side effects from using the steam on the doors near the control?? I know you blow everything out with the air, but just wondering.
Well done, Carlos! I see you are a big Zymol Treat fan. I had that leather conditioner before and liked how it performed, but never liked it banana scent. It's just not right when leather is smelling like a banana...anyway my best leather combo now is Leather Master trio. Seriously. "LEATHER VITAL is excellent for stopping the squeaking noises that can happen from leather in contact with leather. This noise is especially common with leather motion furniture." Quoted from DD.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for the feed back eace: Well the vehicle just needed some sprucing up that's all, after all it's brand new. I agree, the interior looks like...just needs some wood trim, I'm a huge wood trim fan. The owner isn't and when I told him I prefer wood he called me 'old man' lol. Glad you enjoyed it :chest: Thank you P1et, glad you enjoyed it my friend eace: Well so far nothing but positive from my end with the steamer and interiors, I'm very cautious though but so far so good :headbang: Glad you enjoyed it Denzil, owner was pleased with the end results. Well to be honest I let the owner choose, I've been using Leatherique (sorry if I spelled it wrong) and I'm pleased with it but I've been meaning to try Leather Master sounds and it seems quite nice. One of these days I'll get some..any who I let the owner choose between Zymol Treat or Leatherique, owner preferred Zymol Treat. I like them both so I stock them both, I don't mind the banana smell so much both are great products and I'll keep using them...it's always good to have choices :thumb:
leatherique does a very nice job too, it's once a year rejuvenation, but is quite time consuming. What I also love about Leather Masters is you apply Leather Vital, and just let it dry for 1 hour...there is no need to wipe anything off...then apply protection cream...let it dry for 30 minutes, and you are good to go...again, no wiping, no buffing...and no leather squeek...
