This newer Infiniti G37X was a referral from one of my existing clients. The owner wanted to make sure the car got off to a good start with a clear-bra install to protect the paint against stone chips since he does a fair amount of highway driving. He opted not to do it on his other vehicle and regrets it every day. Even though this car is brand new (3 weeks old), it had already accumulated a few stone chips that needed some to touch-up paint before the film could be installed. We discussed coverage options and he decided to go with a standard kit, which includes partial hood, partial fenders, complete front bumper and side mirrors. In order to get the exterior ready for the film install, I started by removing the front license plate bracket to properly cleanse the paint and get it 100% perfect for the installer. I gave the exterior a proper wash and degreased the paint to ensure there wasn’t any wax, sealant, quick detailers or anything else present that could possibly interfere with the adhesion of the film. After I was done washing the exterior, I carefully touched up the few stone chips that were present on the front bumper. There was a few minor scuffs, which I removed using an acrylic solvent as you can see below. The installer showed up the next day and worked his magic. After the install was complete, I protected the film using Optimum Car Wax, which offers protection and will not leave any white residue near the edges like a paste wax would. The install came out great and was barely noticeable. Here are the after pictures! Thanks for looking!
