Hello Detailing Bliss members, This is my first post, so please be gentle as I'm just an average joe looking for some car protection. I drive a Night Hawk Black Pearl Honda, so it has some metallic flakes in it. Can anyone recommend me a nice LSP (either sealant/carnauba) that has this criteria?: 1. Easy to apply 2. Little/no cure time 3. Looks (want my metallic flakes to pop if possible) 4. Durability Does such a product for me exist? I've been looking at Prima Banana Gloss and it seems to fit my criteria and it has some filling abilities, which my car has and need to hide until I get get it professionally polished out. Would you guys recommend this or any other products? My last detail included Clearkote RMG, Poorboys EX-P followed with Clearkote CMW. This combo was recommended to me by a friend and I like that combo a lot. The only problem is I just don't have the keep doing all of this, which is a reason why I'm looking for something to consolidate all of it. Thank you for your time Detailing Bliss. Richie
While I've not used it myself, the first thing that came to mind was "BH Auto Balm" - many here have had great results from it as a one-step product... just make sure you use it properly (allegedly it can be a little finicky to work with). Good luck! :thumb:
If you want to keep things cheap and easy, I recommend 1Z Einzette Glanz Wax. Very durable, and for the money, produces a very nice look. http://www.detailersdomain.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=34
I guess I forgot to add filling capabilities as part of my criteria. c32AMG-DTM: Any idea where this stuff can be purchased in the US? Seems to be a UK product. J BELL: I was leaning towards Collinite 845 for it's durability. Do you know if it'll behave well with an oily based glaze such as RMG underneath? DaveS4: Does 1z Einszett Glanz Wax have any filling capabilities? From what I've read on the link you provided, it sounds like my paint has to be a pretty good condition. sal329: Thanks I'll look into those products. I really wanted to try JS109 and Pete's 53, but I can't find the time to do 1 coat of multiple products. CG is actually having a sale on this combo, LINKED here. I wanted it so bad, but time and patience is not with me anymore. I got a little tired of putting a coat of one product on, wait a day, one coat of another, wait, etc... Thank you everyone so far for your input. I got lots more researching to do!
Richguy66, Glanz Wax does not have any filling capabilities. If that's what you are looking for, and you want a one-step process, then Bilt Hamber Auto Balm is your best bet. The closest place to get it from is Autowerks Exclusive in Canada: Autowerkes Exclusive :: Bilt Hamber Auto Balm :: 2008 :: Shop If you do decide you want to try JetSeal 109 and Pete's 53, I am running a sample sale here: http://www.detailingbliss.com/forum/f50/daves4s-sample-sale-part-1-a-9720.html
BH Autobalm meets just about everyone of your criteria. Put it on very thin, do only a 2x2 area at time, and buff off after about 10 seconds after you put it on and it will do everything you want. Check with either Ken (911 Fanatic and his store Autowerkes Exclusive) or Ben at Rubbish Boys.
+1 OP... don't know of any U.S. distributors for BH products, sorry. That said, when I ordered from Rubbish Boys recently, I believe I placed my order late Thursday, and the products arrived on my doorstep the following Monday - couldn't believe how fast it got here. Wanted to try BH Auto Balm but it was out of stock at the time.
My search for the holy grail of sealers and waxes ended after I tried Blackfire's Wet Diamond Paint Protection - you can't get any easier on/off and looks great. And I tried about everything availible - zaino, DG, WG, FK, 1Z, Megs, etc
So I'm leaning towards BH Auto Balm and Prima Banana Gloss right now. Does anyone have first hand experience with Banana Gloss? There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information about it. junebug: I read a little about Blackfire's Wet Diamond Paint Protection and it says that it has a polycharger built in. Does the polycharger affect the shelf life of the product?
