Yep add 1 more to the bunch. Flex, Makita and now a Cyclo. I should be getting it in a week or so. Im exited it seems like a perfectly balanced machine.:mounty:
I dont know why someone wouldn't want a cyclo. Have you had the pleasure of using one? For light polishing they are great (after you do the heavy work with the rotary), it is a well balanced, smooth, and reliable machine.
But it's downfall in my eyes are only having one speed and for the price IMHO it's not worth it to be able to only do one or couple things.
Basically its for finishing purposes. I will correct with the rotary and finish with a cyclo for a hologram free finish. The Flex sometimes isnt smooth enough to finish 100% hologram free on soft paints so the Cyclo will be perfect.
Jason it actually can with the right pad and compound, with final polish and polishing pads I would agree with you.
Nice, congrats on the purchase dsms. There is nothign wrong with the Cyclo, you'll just have to adjust to the size of the unit but other then that it works just fine. I own one and hardly ever use it but when I did use it I had no complains on it.
Get the PC scrub brushes for it, they screw right on. I use two stiff ones for boat non skid decks and two softer ones for carpet, mats, etc.
Just got my cyclo, its a great machine! One handed operation is a breeze, trying to configure the counterweights to get zero vibration.
It's been so long since I've used my cyclo. I think I'll make a point of it when I do the wife's car this month! Sure it's a one speed wonder but I recall how I appreciated the smooth operation and lack of fatigue after using it.
i had one and sold it and bought my p/c. but i kinda miss it wish i still had it it was very nice to use and balanced nicely but not easy to get into tight areas like a p/c can..
