And you would be too Nikon D200 Tokina 12-24mm f/4 Not much PP in these pictures. I just used levels to make the bridge colors pop a bit more.
wow, how did you know?! yeah it's the town bridge near downtown sac it's more so the lens that was able to capture the beauty of the bridge. i'd invest in a good piece of glass!
Very nice. Love the first shot. what adjustments and settings did you used for that shot? Sorry. I'm a DSLR newb.
very nice - I share your passion, although they can be sooo tough to compose as well as you have :thumb:
My Aunt and Uncle live in Pocket. I drove the River Road at night one time, and that's how almost all the bridges are. It was scary as EFF driving it alone at 10pm....
You're making me want to buy the some new glass. I've been looking at the Canon 10-22 but I've been holding back on buying.
Heath, it's a Tokina 12-24mm f/4. They make it for canon and nikon mounts. Thanks! It was in f/8 for sure. I don't remember what shutter speed. Most likely something like 1/25 or faster. thanks! Man, you have no idea how many shots i wasted in a bunch of locations to get those two! I didn't think it was that scary to drive there. What's so bad about it? Thanks Denzil Do it do it do it! wide angles are just :applause2:
Very cool pictures, I like the first one but the second one has great lighting. I own a wide lens as well but to be honest it didn't appeal to me too much, I don't mind it but I need more practice with it....but every time I grab it I find any excuse to put it away lol. Lovely pictures keep them coming :thumb:
Well.. driving the road all alone in pitch black (barely any street lights), and then the occasional porch light from the houses on the river illuminating the river that's only like 2' below the levy you're driving on is kinda spooky
I haven't handled that many lenses, so I can't comment on the build quality. I would say it does feel solid. There is a bit of vignetting at 12mm though. thanks slanguage! I guess it's a preference thing. I just love using my wide angle to take pictures of everything that I can get it in range for. I love landscape so much that a wide angle lens fr me is a no brainer really. I'm looking to get a 50mm 1.4 next then a MACRO LENS! I went there at night before and didn't think it was so bad. Maybe it's because my tC halogens are weak! I will do that later! Thanks for the suggestion, Heath!
