Ice Dozer ..

Anyone use this product on thick windshield ice ?

We get some serious freezing up here and looking at ways to get the ice off the windows...

I saw the video .. but am a little scared to hammer my windows with the dozer ...

or is there a chemical de-icer that will melt the ice without damaging anything else ?

What are you guys doing to solve this time consuming problem..

true that, it just melts ice right off...Ice Dozer is very nice too! That reminds me, I'll be getting more Eistau...

 

I have a tarp I cut to the width of the windshield and I attached a 1 x 2 on each side and a piece of rope to one side .. a piece of elastic to the other .. I lay it over the windshield with the rope/elastic over the mirrors.

Ice comes off with the tarp.

Does anybody know the chemical ingredient in 1z de-icer? I'm curious as to what's actually breaking the ice down.
