335, The color is off, I have no clue why. RSE is converting the jpgs to this crappy as color. I am too lazy to do it in photoshop. Yes that is ice on the ground. 28*F when i did this. This job was an overspray removal. Latex fence paint from september. It all came off with clay Pad. before wash After clay before tape, removal of the overspray. The passenger side had far more overspray. In the full size pic you can see the overspray. After. Yes i dressed out the wheel wells Sip green, 106 white, 1z metalic white flex, 1z glanz.
Autowash systems is a fairly good sized client. I do their work rigs and personal cars. This was last saturdays Polish seal and clean. The truck was a mess inside and out. Before wash pics. the mark to the upper left of the arm rest is a serries of gouges that would not clean out. My tools of choice. lots of towels, 1z blitz, wheel/tire brush, detailing stick after vac I started the interior at 8:45 am and finished at 1:45/2pm... Yeah bit more grime than i expected. Clean, but not dressed. I don't know if i have any dressed shots. here is that nasty gouge mark again I did not get any pictures other than these of the finished truck. My camera died right here. (forgot to charge the battery.) For short the truck and trailer were soaked p21s taw, brushed. yes brushed the grime was like glue. Then wahsed with 1z glanz was mixed with blitz. That got the truck 90% clean. I did not take photo's as it was 2pm when i finished the interior, at 3:30 it was dark. After wash the two were clayed using the clay pads. After that I polished out the aluminum on the trailer Minus diamond plate as per customer request. After that I polished the trailer with 1z metalic and topped with glanz wax. the truck was the same, 1z metalic, 1z glanz
Man that's a wicked detail, but did I see the pictures right it was raining outside? :yikes: but you did an incredable detail. Loved all the pictures, the interior looks good oh is that a steamer you were using? Thank you for sharing :applause:
Well blood does not freeze if you keep moving. To be honest the car soap, and sprays seem to lower the waters freezing temp. No not really. If i feel i have to polish a car heavily. IE sip/106 combo at higher rpms 1300+ or the car has many curves I will use the flex with1z metallic polish on a white lc pad. at speed 6 i can remove any traces of rotary burn that may be hiding on tight corners, curves wheel arches. This is my way of ensuring i am delivery a hologram free car. On Polish Seal and Cleans i use the flex with metallic on a white lc pad. For the difference in my packages check out the s430 thread i posted today. Vents, cracks crevices. I have about 3 sets with different tips. They come in handy. Just wrap a damp micro around them and stick them where you need them. I prefer a shorter length bristle. This one was a bit softer than i needed. I ended up using my 1" uphostery brush. Yes it poured all day. After the wash and clay i backed the trailer into the shop, finished out the trailer. Swapped it around did the truck. No it's my trailers built in Hot water extractor. The crap in the car was so ingrained and stuck in i basically had to hot water extract the vinyl and rubber. The apc, and detergents were not cutting the grime. It (this truck) solidified my purchase of a Vapor steamer. When it arrives i will have to do a few details and pass along my thoughts.
Oooh I look forward to your thoughts on the steamer, as I've been very curious of getting one my self. I was thinking, why do I need a steamer when I got an extractor but the more I think about it they are two different systems and having both could make life much easier. Thank you for sharing :thumb:
A steamer is a very good choice. I couldn't live without my steamer. You should check out the Daimer steamers. I've had mine for a year and I really like it. Make sure you get a continous fill, you can just fill up on the go. Otherwise, you have to wait for the water to heat back up and build pressure.
ooh good tip on the continous fill, never thought of that to behonest, thanks for sharing :thumb: Since you brought up the steamer  if you steam the carpet or seats there is no need to extract anything right? I mean will the steamer repace the extractor?
no it will not replace it. It will get at best the top 15% of the fiber, HWE will get about the top 75% of the fiber. The fibers will appear clean but will rapidly resoil. nica, if your looking for a steamer i strongly suggest giving Kevin Farrel at Kleen car. He was very very helpfull in my choice. Steam cleaners| steam machines|vapor steamers|carpet cleanersCar Detailing Training | professional auto detailing school|detail class FWIW i am looking for a steamer not only for interior but certain portions of the exterior. Tires, wheels, wheel wells, trim door jambs. I need it to run at heat and pressure for hours on end. keving pointed me in the direction of the therma Kleen. With his exp, i have a feeling it will fit my needs very well.
Thanks for the tip, I'm really curious to see wen you get yours and when you start using it. I've talked to Kevin in the past really good person, very knolegable and always willing to share top notch character. Looks like I may be doing more business with him :thumb:
Auto wash systems? Are they a mobile car wash? Nice details! And that is ONE CRAZY HUGE ASS TRAILER YOU GOT!
