Hey guys, im gonna try to start pushing an AIO package this spring when i start back up detailing on the side. I said one stepper in the title because i am not so much dead set on leaving protection, as I am finding a decent cutting ability that will not need to be followed up with any cleanup..even on black. I have thought about Menzerna Power Finish, Megs D151, Optimum Poli-Seal..and thats all so far..im just looking for some suggestions...the power finish states that it might need some cleanup, what have your experiences been? The economy is hard and sometimes it is hard to get the sale for a big 3-stager...so im just trying to bring a "good" service for a decent price..all help as always is appreciated!
I have PoliSeal, XMT360, DG501 and want to try some M151. I like the PS the best, use it on almost every car I do. The PS hardley leaves any residue at all and if you use OCW or OOS to buff it off, there's your LSP in one time saving step.
I also use Poli Seal quite a bit on my details, I love the stuff. It has some pretty decent corrective abilities if needed and leaves the finish very slick. Poli Seal also has a nice look to it as well.
check these CG products out: CG All In One Polish POLISH + SHINE + SEALANT in one. CG Scratch and Swirl remover http://www.chemicalguys.com/SCRATCH_REMOVER_p/com_129_16.htm i've played around with the second one and have to say it actually works pretty decent. i havent tried the All In one yet, but i can only imagine it works just as well, if not even better since it takes care of the polishing and sealing in one step.
So far I'm a huge fan of Power Finish. I used it this past week on a black Infiniti G35 coupe. My procedure was to hit it with SIP and orange pad twice with rotary, then cleanup with Power Finish and a white pad on the Flex 3401. I remember, though, the first test section I did was with Power Finish, 3401 (speed 6), and a white pad I want to say. I was really surprised by how much this cleaned up the swirls. Just a hair or two less than SIP, and finishes down extremely nicely. I'm working on getting some more pics up of the detail.
Thanks to all that have replied so far...as far as the black infiniti, do you feel that on those test spots that you could have gone to wax if it was booked for a one step..that is the most important to me, i feel this gives more value to my customers.
