as some of you know i have my own company. but the problem i have is i always think about work. and making money and when im not doing that im worried about my truck and cleaning it. and i feel guilty about relaxing.. you know doing nothing watchingtv all day just hanging.. my wife and friends doit and tell me tom dont feel guilty take a day for your self!!!!.. am i the only one who cant sit still? other then being on d/b :thumb:
I have issues sitting still as well - hence my detailing hobby now. Suggest finding some friends, get excited over a sporting event (world cup is ongoing atm), should take your mind off of work and allow you to relax and get social at the same time.
i can't either. Today was my first day off in four months and yet, I still ordered some business cards, called two clients and placed an order from phil. Now I'm on the DB forum. can't sit still....
Take a day off for yourself and enjoy it, Tom! Just wax your truck or something... or watch an episode of Top Gear...
Tom, you need to spend some time with your wife and daughter. They are the most important thing in your life. The business and truck can be replaced, but not your family.
Sitting still is wasting time. I don't ever lounge in front of the TV for hours, it would make me angry.
I am the same way man, I always have to be moving and doing something. People around me tell me to chill out constantly but I can't help it. phyus You would be amazed what a day off can do for you mentally and physically.
im ok when im on the detail forums because im focused on reading.. and drooling over the nice cars!!!:yikes:
Need to start a club of some sort i guess. I am the same way, just my nature. I get up around 4:30- 5:00 every morning and get ready for the day. Winters drive me nuts because i can't do things outside that i like to do and plus the early darkness doesn't help either.
Tom, this is just me thinking, but, if you own your own company, chances are you're a hard worker. I respect that very much. I say take a break and relax. Its nice to sit a spell from time to time. Take your mind off things. In the end though, it all boils down to what you want to do. Pretty much like everything else in life. It sure would be nice to have Xanax in a PEZ dispenser!!!
thanks u guys are right . oh and i have xanax i wonder if they would fit in a pez dispenser?:applause2:
Tom, I'm right there with you. Need to be doing something. Usually in the evenings I can try to finally relax, but my wife tells me regularly to take a day and do nothing. Hard to get in that mind set. Even try just hanging out for a few hours to start. Small steps would be easier to work at than a full day all at once!
Tom if feel ya buddy ... funny that you posted this after I sent you the PM regarding the meet. Detailing time for me is relaxing time. I don't detail as much as I want to, but spending time with the little one is more important than chasing RIDS for me. The wifey and I have an agreement that for every weekend I spend detailing, she can go out and practice Salsa with her dancing club. This deal works pretty good 'cause we both enjoy our free time. I tend to come from work a little bit early to spend time with the daughter if I know I'm about to detail a car during the weekend. Call me crazy or just plain stupid, but the only time I have to do a quick wash is at night time. I don't have a garage, so all my exterior lights are on and my LED lights are on me at all times during the night wash. I pre-soak the car during the afternoon and then go to town at night. It takes me twice as long because I take my time, but the cars looks pretty decent for being daily drivers.
:thumb: i dont go crazy removing every little mark on the paint either. its a dd truck...i try to wash it every 2 weeks. i just dont have the energy towash it every week.. im useally wiped out by friday ...
