I found in my garage an Autoglym Hydra Flexi blade that i bought ages ago but never used, do you think it is a good tool/aid to dry the car or should I stay away from it?

I personally don't like blades for drying cars because if one peice of dirt gets on it it will damage the whole paint job.

ekkk...please don't use it on the paint...one spec of dirt can kill the finish. I will say that they are great on glass to dry them off!

Using the open ended hose method I find that there is almost no water left on the car and the little there is I just wipe up with a MF.

That method only works on a lsp covered car

This is true, or a clayed car or polished. Leaf blower works well on non-smooth finishes as well, and helps dry off the wheels/tires pretty fast and grills, also around gas doors and what not.

Bottom line, dont use a blade, get yourself a nice WW or MF drying towel.
