I have a "foam pad glaze/swirl remover" at work that Im wondering how to use correctly. Of course everyone else at work thinks you just put it on the pad and turn on the machine. LOL Im basing this question on the fact that the techniques for m80 and prima swirl are different in that m80 needs like 15lbs of pressure on the pc and P Swirl is just the weight of the machine, utilizing the speed more. Should I just do a 50/50 of the 2 different styles? What can I look for as far as when to know it has completely broken down and or its not beneficial to continue working?
Well if its abrasive, and has diminishing abrasives in it, most do, then I would work at it with lighter pressure and let the abrasives break down. As far as speed, I use a rotary at around 12-1500 rpm, so if its a pc then you would likely use a slightly higher speed. Someone with a pc can help you with the speed better than I could. With the rotary I finish at around 700 rpm to burnish the paint. Hope this helps
