all I have access to is Menzerna Power Gloss Compound and yellow pad on rotary (so thats as aggressive as I can get)
this M5 I'm doing is giving me fits with the RIDS and they aren't budging!

anyone got suggestions as what process might help me tomarrow?

i got all the swirls out just random RIDS that are bein a pain!

You are going to need a stronger polish. Power Gloss isn't as 'power'ful as you'd like to believe.

have you tried wetsanding? it's the last resort.. rather than taking away a lot of necessary cc or paint. it's really effective, if the rds has not gone through the base coat or primer.
    good luck.

Is it really worth ripping off that much clear coat to get them out?

    Just a thought... :)

Try using powergloss with a wool pad, I have gooten alot of correction out powergloss that way but it gets very dusty. As far as powergloss not being very "power"ful, its obvious someone doesn't know how to use it. I will see if Dan(D&D) will post pics of the Audi I did for him with powergloss and wool that took out steel wool marks his customer used to clean berry stains from the paint.

 I would have to agree with Asphalt Rocket, Meznerna Power Gloss with a wool pad will level out any kind of swirls/scratches/RIDS. One thing to note though is that I personaly haven't mastered the wool pad just yet so I always follow up with at least one more step (with a foam pad) after doing some major corection with a wool pad. I know some members can finish up close to LSP with a wool pad but I'm just not there yet...but hopefully a few more years with wool pad and I might get there...I hope :beg:

Oh another thing is that reefer_bob bring up a going point, you may want to check to see how much clear coat your removing to remove the RIDS...I mean you can only cut so much clear coat but then again it all depends on each persons style of polishing..any who just my :2cents:
