Hello fellas.. my friend contacted me and wants me to detail his friend's '87 RX-7 because he was planning on selling it. Can someone give me an estimate on how much I should charge him.
He called me cause he knows me and he has seen my work and he is my friend.

    -Full detail paint correction
    -interior vacuum and wipe down
    -engine bay wash and dressing
-im thinking of 1 day from 7am to 9pm or just the whole day of paint correction and protection
-person lives in Long island from Staten Island about 50 miles from me and bridge tolls is $10.00

Friends are a whole 'nother category! I usually don't charge much, have them bring over some beer, food and have them help you. Make them pay for fuel, toll charges and any other expenses you might have.

    But that's just me!

Just charge your hourly rate times the number of hours... nice and simple..

If the time you estimated is accurate - I cant imagine working that many hours for anything less than $500 and that's a bargain!!!

I was just being a little on the conservative side just so you can get that friend of friend's friends, LoL. It's just something to always consider whenever you do a quote/estimate, etc., hehe.

LOL he's got the right idea.

that's for sure. you can't undersell yourself, you know what you're worth and the reason you're on this forum and these other forums is because you know what you're doing and you do it well. shit ain't cheap!

nice busting out the tagalog =)
and that turboII is gonna sell nicely. especially with those wheels, and it looks stock.

i would charge at least 350 to drive 100 miles total plus working 12+ hours
