How much Iron X is normally used when washing a vehicle? I received my order of Iron X today and used 1/2 the bottle. I was surprised at how much was needed. Did I use too much or is that normal? :shead:
I use about 3/4 of a bottle on average. When I asked Avi, I believe he mentioned that you could do 3-4 medium-sized vehicles per bottle. I think the definition of medium-sized vehicle in Europe is different than the one in the US (no offense Avi). Last year, I was able to do two cars with one bottle because they were not heavily contaminated. I've been thinking about getting the Iron X soap so I use less Iron X per decontamination.
Woah... Thats a lot of money. This makes the soap gel seem like a bargain. Although it is weaker I think it would do the job for most vehicles.
Indeed it is pricey. I have both the regular Iron X and soap gel. I've washed 2 cars with the soap gel and have 75% remaining, however it is not as effective as the liquid.
Soap gel is for maintenance. I think you can get away with performing a really good decontamination in Spring with Iron X and then maintaining the vehicle for the rest of the year with the soap gel. At least in my area, the biggest contaminant in the Summer is tar and in the Winter is iron particles.
It depends on how much contamination there is. I used almost all of the 32oz on one white car that was really bad.
