I recently did my first machine polish on my 07 Ivory Pearl G35..The pre worked paint looked pretty good compared to some of those ive seen here...I love my car!!!! She gets lottsa care..I started at 9:00 am ---washed then dried the car,(with my shop vac) polished with Griots and Green B&S pads with Menzerna FG400. Washed and dried again them 2 coats of Autoglym HD Wax. With a lunch break i was done by 3:00...I know its my car and I can take the time I want, but how long do you take? Any suggestions on how I can get the job done in a more timely fashion? It was fun but it was a long day........
When I opti-coated my WRX, it took me around 18 hours from start to finish. I took my time and strived for 100% correction and settled with somewhere around 95%. It all depends how long it takes you to do your prep and find a good polish combo, then you can start motoring.
