It depends, some people wait 8 hours, some wait 12 hours, I've talked to another detailer who wait a full 24 hours. So it is really up to you (or if the time permits).
I personally wait 12 hours before applying wax.

Complete noob question here; what happens if you just put the wax straight on without waiting?

Well, it will probably remove it. Due to the fact the sealant might not be completely "dry" or "cured", it didn't have ample time to bond to the paint. So whatever didn't bond quickly enough would just be removed or moved when applying the wax.

On a side note, I think with Werkstat AJT, you only need to wait 30 minutes, but don't quote me on that.

I think that's the case too.

nice, thanks for the heads up. Will try that out after i finish my bottle of powerlock.
How's the durability on Werkstat? Any insights will be great, thank you!

I think it's like 2-3 months alone, maybe another month if you prep first with Prime (or any of its derivatives like Strong, Acrylic...).

I see, thank you! I will be sure to try it out next. Always open to try out other products!

For what it's worth Menzerna recommends 3 hours between applications of powerlock. Not sure if this rule applies to waxes also.
