On baked on tar on the inside of clearcoated wheels?

I am in need of an OTC product, im gonna need it tomorrow after seeing what i have ahead of me haha....Im thinking either Mineral Spirits or Prep-Sol..but i have yet to locate the prep-sol (any help?) I looked at walmart and cant find any...but maybe im overlooking. Id rather stay away from tarminator because of what i have heard it doing to paint, but i could be swayed..

Basically what is the dwell time needed for mineral spirits or prepsol to work in your experience? Thanks!

If you're looking at Wal-Mart Jordan, you'll be looking for Kleen Strip Prep All. I've found it in the automotive paint section there. Some stores have it and some do... it's kind of hit and miss.

As far as dwell time goes, it usually evaporates on its own but just be sure to wipe it off as it does.

I have like 10 Walmarts here so maybe 1 will :) Would you recommend one over the other?

Auto Zone has thinner? but mineral spirits is safer, just let it set for like 5 mins and it should be ready to wipe off.

I think the megs didnt get a good rap because people werent letting it set long enough...my 2 cents

    hope this helps
