I have been reading some detail write ups where people have used it for wheel wells and the finish looks nice. My concern would be having it run and get the rest of the car dirty. Is it like armoral in that sense?

I have Adams VRT which I have not tried yet. What do you think would be better for wheel wells?

if you have a good sprayer that can atomize the product you will be fine, I love it......

VRT be it adams or Chemical Guys is not really made for wheel wells.
I have heard of guys using stoners trim shine too for under carriage work, but im very happy with Bare Bones

I haven't tried Chemical Guys Bare Bones, but I have used Adam's Invisible Undercarriage Spray. I like it a lot and it's easy to use. Just spray it on and let it dry. If you like the VRT then you'll like the invisible undercarriage spray. =]

So the bare bones wont run and get all over the car after it rains?

I am pretty much sold on it.

I have tried the Griot undercarriage spray and found it too greasy looking.
I then got C/G Bare Bones and it works much better, is not greasy looking, turns everything under the wheel wells black that is supposed to be black, and once dry doesnt spread or get everywhere.
And as all things we use, the cleaner you get the areas the better it will adhere and work.
Super Degreaser, etc., something that cleans really good and rinses completely and quickly is always good to use, especially in the areas you cant reach but can spray, etc..

Bare Bones is the shizz. My gallon has lasted me a while too. Just get the wells good and clean, and don't over use it, and you will love it.

The wheel wells in my cars are all the fabric material not plastic so can't use any dressings. How do you guys clean that? I Just use a brush and it's hard to get all the dirt and leaves off of it.

Bare Bones is great, but literally any blueish/purple dressing from most reputable detailing product distributors is going to work great.

I got a bottle of an Ardex dressing that is identical to bare bones, but with a banana scent. It was dirt cheap and I can't tell the difference. I strongly recommend spraying a light mist or using an dressing applicator. These silicone types of dressings tend to leave some nice stains on asphalt driveways.

I have been using the Adams US. How does BB compare? How do both compare to Megs Hyper Dressing?

I use 303, for the engine bay and wheel wells Whats the difference between 303 and barebones, if any?

Probably just the look and ease of application. I'm about to give barebones a try. I doubt either will last through one rainy day, as it gets pretty rough in the wheel wells. From experience with 303, it washes off pretty easily. I usually only dress wheel wells when I can see a long period of nice weather myself.

CG Bare Bones works pretty good for me. On plastics, it does last longer than one may think on plastic lined wheels (more than a rain).

:agree: much more durable than Meg's Hyper dressing or any tire foam spray.

I like the use CG BB also for the tread of my tires at car shows. I use a tire gel for the side walls, then spray a coat of CG BB on the tread where its still kinda dirty from moving the car. It dries fast and gives the treads a nice matte look that compliments the sidewalls. I NEVER go to a car show without it.

My experiences with Meguiars Hyper-Dressing - works great on engine compartments, smells fantastic. Doesn't last very long.
Works great in wheel wells, smells fantastic. Doesn't lasts very long here either.
It turns black plastic really black; if this is what you are looking for, and dont mind having to re-spray it often, it is hard to beat too.
