I accidentally spilled a little bit of engine oil on my cheap trunk carpet (not the trunk mat). The stain is not large ... it's about 6" x 4".

I was thinking about spraying APC and pressure washing the crap out of it.

    Any other recomendations?

    TIA,

Had a carpet once that had oil spilled on it did the regular wash with folex but it wouldn't all come out, was told by the customer to use any method since if it didn't get clean he would buy a new one. Ended up using 3m adhesive remover took the oil stain right out.

I can tell what not to do. I had a car brought to me with a half liter of new motor oil spilled onto a light tan carpet. They tried to use a spray 'carpet spot remover' and it turned the oil stain light green. I tried everything to get that stain out with little success.
