Just looked around and didn't find much on Griot's.. How do you feel about the brand? Good? Bad? Good for beginners? Thanks.

I have used there products, and I like most of there products. I think the Speed Shine is a good bargain. I also like the carnuba wax. If you don't like a product, it's 100% guaranteed. I had dropped a bottle of speed shine, and the neck broke, i told them what happened and suggested tougher bottles, i received a new one in the mail, who else would do that. A lot of people flame them, in all honesty, i like them. But thats me. Hopefully, i don't get:spank:

From my experience their stuff is great, but I don't have much to compare it to. The interior cleaner is amazing but their wheel cleaner doesn't impress me.

Kind of reminds me of a "Sharper Image" for detailing. They have some really cool tools for detailing but their prices for the products seem to be on the high side. I think you can get better products for a cheaper price.

the couple products i have tried have all been top notch...but a little pricey..I used the Speed Shine very nice QD...the car Shampoo..this is one the best I used next to 901...cleans great and very gentle on LSP's...and the wheel cleaner is good also...last time I bought from them was in 2003....like I said a little pricey but 100% guaranteed to satisfy you or money back no questions asked...

I find their stuff is alright, but nothing amazing. There used to be a bunch of their products in my shop when I started there, and I ended up pushing most of it out just because it wasn't very impressive. I actually just ordered well over a grand worth of stuff from them, but none of it was detailing products lol

I bought about $300 worth of items 3 years ago. The car wash soap is great, the rubber and wheel cleaners work well. The glass cleaner and interior cleaner are ok. Don't waste your time with the polishes or wax....the dressings are too high gloss for me.

Overall the products are overpriced and geared toward the retail market. IMHO there is nothing at Griots that can't be replaced with something from another vendor. The car wash soap is probably the only thing I would buy again, but the price is too high and there are a lot of other very good options at a better price.

I have been told their car wash soap is the best you can find but you will pay a premium for it.

Never really used them, but yes, people do give them a lot of stick. It's more geared towards the shade-tree detailer I believe.

I'm a fairly consistent Griot's user, and my opinion is that their site/products are geared towards the individual enthusiast; car collectors as opposed to pro detailers. A pro needs to work fast - I don't. A pro has to keep unit cost in mind at all times - an individual can splurge now and then. One of the earlier comments was spot-on: they are not geared towards the detailing industry. High quality but commensurately high prices. The car wash stuff is awesome and works really well in my foam gun.

One advantage that I have in my area is that we have a Complete Garage retail store. They carry all Griot's stuff - catalog prices, but no shipping. ;)

Damn, I want a Complete Garage retail store! So close, yet so far away...I wonder how much shipping is across the state.

I went to a cust house to detail their escalade, he drove an infiniti.... well I saw a PC on the shelf and he had a ton of Groits stuff hanging on the wall and in cabinets.

when the guy got home I asked him about it, he said it was the "best", and that some Ferrari people swore by it.

    Thats why he bought it.
