After rinsing, do you just wring it out and hang it (or lay on a towel or over a grit guard)? Do you turn it inside out? I assume it should not be put in the drier? Thanks!
I don't really wring it out, just hold it in my hand and move it real fast so the water flies out. Then just throw it in the bucket on top of the grit guard.
When I'm done with my wash mitt I rinse all the old soap out, wring it out, whip the water out, then spray it with some QD. Probably once every two times I actually wash my wash mitt with car soap just to keep it fresh.
Rinse with cols water, squeeze the excess water out, put it on your hand and spin it to fluff it up and hang dry.
I copied and pasted an old response I wrote a while back I have a DI sheep skin mitt after I wash with it I rinse it out with the hose to get loose debris out. I then clean my kitchen sink or bathroom sink and fill it up with hot water and let it float in any particle that are still inside will fall out ( There are particles every time and you will see them in the bottom of the sink after). Remember to flip the mitt around to get the other side. Once it sits in there for about and hour or more I pull it out and ring it out then let it air dry on a flat surface inside my home in a clean non dusty area. The next day once it has fully dried I store it in a plastic storage container so that it doesn't get full of dust particles. Then its ready for the next wash session.
Thanks everybody. Just to confirm, no one turns it inside out? I thought I had read that somewhere but it just doesn't seem like a good idea...
I just rinse it well in the last of the wash water then flop it over the side of the wash bucket to dry.
If your refering to my method ... try it .. see if it does, hasn't yet and I have some mitts that have lasted 2 or 3 wash seasons and from Apr to Oct I wash the car at least twice a week.
