hey guys just wondering how everyone is going about appyling and using amigo?? the techniques and what not to achieve the best possible results with it.
I have used it twice appying it with a PC and one of DD green pads. I waited over 12 hours to top. Once with BG looked awesome next ime I topped with Hydro . Amigo is the real deal wet and glossy. Amigo/BG awesome, Amigo/Hydro beyond awesome. I am getting a gallon of Hydro.
DA with black LC CCS, work in till it's just visible then let it haze over while you apply to the rest of the car one of the easiest pre-cleaners ive used for app and especially removal if i want to use a bit more of its cleaning properties ill use a white CCS
For good cleaning I use a green uber pad on the pc. For strictly a pre wax cleaner or glaze I used a blue uber pad with good results. I too let it haze after working it in then buff it off. It the best cleaner glaze I have used to date.
I used our uber blue pad on the 7424XP on speed 3-4 and just applied over the complete car. I did a pass going up and down then a pass going side to side.
I apply it with a LC White CCS pad (70ppi same as Uber Blue) with DA and work it about 3 - 4 passes. I find that it is enough to take out light marring from a claybar. I wipe down each pannel after I am done. After going around the whole car with amigo I put sealant over it right away.
looks great did u let the glaze haze? and when appying to the whole car like you did phil did u kinda of apply it like a sealant? i mean did u work it in or just spread it and let it haze??
With Amigo used a Blue Uber pad on the Makita Rotary. Had some issues applying Epic with a cloth applicator, couldn't put it on thin enough until I switched to a red foam applicator and problem solved. The BG topcoat went on and came off with no issues to a brillant shine. Now we will see how long it lasts.
have been using this awesome product since its inception here's how I like to use it ROTARY Lake country black, blue, red and gold 100ppi pads - one or multiples of these speed - 900 - 1300 rpm. for extra glazing ability, panel is sprayed with some Prima slick and allowed to dry slick and black baron on the pad buff with light pressure using fairly quick movements once whole panel is done, then I reapply more amigo to the panel (onto hand pad and wiped on in circular motion until panel is covered completely back to 900 and apply at a 1 - 3 inch per second movements until the product on surface is picked up, spread around and dissappears into the paint then onto the DA with lake country 100ppi foam or buff and shine USA 90ppi white pad at speed 4.5 on the dial again, some slick on the surface. allow to dry on surface cover panel in product by applying to panel with 100ppi hand pad spend a good number of minutes applying until the paint colour shade and gloss transforms into a rich glassy sheet of gloss go back down the speed dial - all the way to 1 allow to set and cure for anything from one hour up to 24 hours then take off excess residue and apply another glaze or a sealant on top Apply another glaze on top of the amigo residue if you like. or just DA/RO machine apply your favourite sealant over the wiped down panel TIP : Do not use water or excess black baron pad lube to prime/season the machine pads Amigo is not soluble in water. prime the pad with one spritz of full strength black baron and some amigo on the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o clock positions of the pad or in an X shape and rub in vigourously with your thumbs to prime it AMIGO IS SAFE TO USE ON SOME EXTERIOR TRIMS TO GIVE THEM A GOOD GLOSSY FINISH. NOT AS GOOD AS MY TRIM DREAM BUT IT DOES WORK WELL VIA ROTARY AT 600 - 1200 with a black and blue finishing pad TEST ON SMALL AREA FIRST (WONT WORK ON TEXTUREDS) with these techniques and AMIGO as a base for GLARE, I got these results MGFGLARE046.jpg picture by DreamMachines - Photobucket YouTube - Project Deep Impact - Results of first test on better quality paint like custom aftermarket, I've achieved better results than those
