I have a not too bright family member, who drove through some house paint (Latex maybe?). Which made a rather nasty mess of his truck, so how the hell do I remove it?

Interesting topic, my mom actually drove through some not so dry road paint... Wheel cleaner and APC didn't cut it.

Looks like most of it is in the wheel wells. APC and a stiff brush, Plastic paint scraper maybe???

I'll give that a shot. There's some on the bottom of the step bars. But a razor blade, fine steel wool and some chrome polish can fix that.

I would try a plastic scraper and some clay first for the step bars. No need to scratch them up unless you have to.

I thought Mineral Spirts and Kerosene would work,,,give that a try,and maybe 3m adhesive remover..

had the same thing happen to a friends charcoal maserati qp...used 3m adhesive remover and got 80% then clayed to remove the rest...but this was within 3-4 hours of it happening

If its latex, strong APC solution and a brush should do it. If it's line paint or acrylic, lacquer thinner on some crap Costco MF's will work.

I don't know if claying would help the wheel wells. It got on the rockers, but they need to be painted anyways, plus I don't think claying the rust would help either. :S

I'll give that a shot. Anyway of knowing whether or not it's latex or acrylic?
