I've looked at CG Chubby and although it seems like a good deal, I've read that people do not like them that much.

I like the Eurows and will probably get some, but I want a good all-purpose towel.

If anyone has suggestions on some good all-purpose MF that isn't going to break the bank, I'd like to see it. If you've used them for a long time or have washed them "X" amount of times, say so...That is pretty important. I want quality MF that will last.

    Thnx

I'm sorry that Auto Detailing Solutions isn't a vendor on here. But I just got my order yesterday and they threw in one of these towels. I was very impressed with the feel and quality. I haven't used it yet,but it looks very promising!!

Also, depending on the quantity. You get can 100 of these towels from Right Look. I've used them before. They are ok as a polish remover, but great as an all purpose towel.

    Phil,

The yellow all-purpose towels look like the kind I can get at an auto parts store, is that what they are? I am just saying they look familiar and am not trying to insult you by any means. I've gone through some of those and was not pleased how they held up in the wash.

    O4COBRA,

Those kind of look the same, but I cannot get a real close up picture of them.

I'll be placing some orders for MF today to see which ones I should stock up on. I'm going to be purchasing 200-300 MF towels when all is said and done.

My all purpose (non-paint) MF is the standard yellow version from Costco. Good towel, holds up nicely, especially when washed with an MF detergent.

I did notice them start to degrade and stiffen when I was washing them with regular laundry detergent.

My all purpose towels are the orange MFs from Target. They are great!

we buy test samples out all the time and these are the ones we liked, so we brought them in.

These hold up well to washing.

I get my all purpose and glass ones from SAMS club.
Blue for all purpose and orange for glass.

My blue ones, I have had some for 2 years now. When I wash them, I wash them 2-3 times to make sure everything is out of them. Stood up so far so good.

I have bought these towels for 2 years now..for general use...and they have done me right...have nevr gone stiff and still soft....they were 25 towels for 10.00 I believe...I used them for polish removal after buffing and not a mar from them...

I save all my good towels like DGT's...CG's....AG's...Vikings..Megs..Pak Shaks....and other ones for sealant or wax removal...

my next towels are the Euro Shags....need more of them...

I don't know, maybe it's how I'm washing them, but my yellow Costco towels lint like crazy when doing glass. My usual process is window cleaner with a real short nap MF, then follow-up with Adam's QD with Costco yellow MF. Otherwise, they work great for interior work, door jams, etc. I believe their current price in STL is $14.99 for 36.

+1....only it's my orange SAMS Club towels. I think I'm gonna switch the yellow all purpose out for the greens...I've been VERY good about avoiding DD's MF page, but I can't hold out forever.

^ The link just says Meguiar's towels. They aren't actually Meguiar's towels though. I think they are just the website brand. I got a chance to use the towel today. Very impressive.

I have in front of me towels from Chemical Guys, Detailer's Domain, Specialty Motoring Accessories, and Auto Detailing Solutions. Bear in mind that although I didn't say the name of another brand/vendor there are a lot of towels that I purchased that are identical to another reseller's so the same review applies. Look at the pictures and if they look very similar, it is likely that in the world of relabeling the same MF towel over and over by other companies - It is probably the same towel.

CG - The Chemical Guys Fluffer Miracle Towel 16x24 is an ok towel. Not too excited about it though. One side can be for buffing off polish and the other for using a quick detailer. Not real plush, not real fat, and because of that I doubt it is very absorbent. There is a lot of hype on the page about how great this towel is, just like all the hype on ALL of CG's pages, but I don't think it really lives up the hype. I won't buy any more of these.

ADS - Auto Detailing Accessories 16x16 MF Towel is what I have found to be the standard basic MF towel on the market. You can find these towels anywhere. They are relabeled by just about every company and you can get them at hardware stores, car parts stores, and most likely the same stuff at Costco. I have compared the stitching from some old auto zone towels to these and they are indeed the same. The towel? Very good towel for the money. You can get these as low as $0.69 a piece from ADS. From personal experience, I have found these to absorb well and hold up to repeating washing. Not as fluffy as some other towels, but an excellent all around towel for the money. You will find these towels all over the place in just about every color but ADS has the BEST prices I have seen for them.

SMP - Specialty Motoring Products Premium 16x16 MF is a quality towel, but 99.9% identical to the same premium MF that CG and DD both sell in different colors. CG has it in the same yellow/black for as low as $3.31/Ea. for 3 and DD has them in Red/Black and Blue/Gray for $4.95 but down to $2.97/Ea. if you order 50. SMP sells the yellow/black for $4.95/Ea. but as low as $3.31/Ea for 12. I say 99.9% identical because they are all microfiber banded but I found a very small difference between SMP & DD with the stitch in the banding. The difference is so tiny that it doesn't even matter. It could just be a change in the process they were made, but neither one has exposed stitching that can do damage or anything and the banding on both is the same material. Bottom line: Depending on how many you are ordering, always check DD for their bulk prices as Phil discounts after the first couple towels. Plus, he is a vendor here and we do get % off savings.

DD - Detailer's Domain Uber Red & Uber Blue 16x16 is an excellent choice. The pricing on these towels are the best I have found as soon as you purchase 25 or more and the prices get even better as soon as you purchase 50. For bulk microfiber, that makes a worthy difference.

ADS has a 100 towel bulk pack for 69.99 right now. That's 70 cents per towel. It's 70/30 so I guess that'd be a good All Purpose towel. Don't most folks usually stick to 80/20 for paint?
