    Strong Effect Cleaner -
There is no competing product to Leather Master's "Strong Cleaner". It is the most powerful leather cleaner on the market. The water based formula removes ground in soil and water based stains. It can even remove blue jean transfer with a few light, repeated applications. Clothing dye normally shows as a greyish bloom in seat area. This is usually caused by dark dye transferring from clothing. Particularly avoid brand new (i.e. never been washed) denim jeans, damp knitwear etc. (for regular cleaning use Soft Cleaner)

This product is used exactly the same as the "Leather Soft Cleaner", but its action is more intensive due to a greater concentration (twice the amount) of active ingredients. Remember to apply Strong Cleaner with a sponge to create cleaning foam. Wipe away excess residue with a soft cloth. This product does not remove the finish or coating from any OEM leathers or those prepared with proper rub resistance standards.

Plus you simply dilute the Strong Cleaner to make it soft cleaner! :)

LM Strong cleaner will not always shift this type of damage. There is a stronger cleaner still called Rapid Cleaner S which was formulated for dye transfer and this would be the one you need to use. Strong Cleaner is normally safe to use at full strength on finished car leathers so would not normally need diluting. We use a similar strength one for all cleaning purposes.

    Hope this helps

I was just looking over LM's product list and came across another one called Super Remover. Just wondering, Judy, if you've ever used that or if you think it might work as advertised? Here's what it says about it:

For removing blue jean transfer, newspaper print & deep stains like mustard on PROTECTED leathers.
This product works when nothing else will clean the leather. Often on light color leathers, it appears that the color is coming off the leather because it looks that way on the surface. What actually has happened is a transfer of color to the leather's surface from blue jeans and / or newspaper print.

    For application it says:

Instructions for Use: Pretest the Leather to insure colorfastness of leather in a hidden area of the piece prior to full use. Apply the SUPER REMOVER to a soft, clean, white cloth and blot the leather, rubbing lightly to remove the transferred color. Pay attention to your cloth to see if you are removing color from the leather. There is a fine line between removing the jean transfer and also taking away some of the leather's original color. You will have reached maximum transfer removal when you see the original color on the cloth without taking away the leather's color. Clean the surface with Leather Master SOFT CLEANER to rinse away any residue of the product. It is very important to use lots of cleaner to completely remove all residue or traces of the SUPER REMOVER. llow to dry for about one hour.

Super Remover would be the next stage after Rapid Cleaner S.

    The process we use is
Maxi Cleaner (equivalent to Rapid CleanerS)
    Alcohol Cleaner
Remover 1 (equivalent to Super Remover)
    Remover 3

It is important to use the weakest product first as by the time you get to products such as Super Remover and Remover 3 you can be removing finish and colour as they contain solvents so this is why we move up in strength. The idea is you do the least damage ot repair.

It will not be possible to test this product on an unaffected area as sugested as the reaction will be completely different to the area that has been worn with dye transfer.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Judy
