    I have a 2010 Mercedes C300 color white ....

A car backed into me and brought the car to have the panel painted. The work was done well but when i brought it back to my garage i washed and dried it......

The problem is that it feels like the paint is rough on several of the panels which weren't painted. It feels like the clear coat has been removed.

Is what im feeling overspray or has the clear coat been removed... when i pass my hand along the surface is feels scratchy with no protectant ...

Any ideas how to get the paint back to original ?

I could go back to the body shop but i really want to use this as a learning experience and once i understand what is going on i may still ask the body shop to remedy this problem.

    Thanks in Advance..

Sounds like the car needs to be clayed. Give the car a good wash, then dry, then clay it. Should bring that smooth feeling back to the paint. After, add a good coat of wax.

Yes it's amazing that a body shop could deliver a car back to the owner with no shame.

When I brought the car in 95% of thecar was detailed to perfect. When I got the car back the three drivers side panels were perfect and the rest of the car had overspray. It took three hours to clay the car back to original and now I have to polish and seal..........

    Needless to say I'm pissed!

Thanks for the input guys as I had nobody who understands my fraustration .....

I agree but I would check with the body shop on the wait time before putting a coat of wax on the freshly painted areas,
