Well i have been using a 128oz Jug of CG MAXI-SUDS II now for about 2 Summers. Its almost finished and i need to buy another 128oz Jug. I have been told this is one of the Best Maintenance Car Soap. But what do you guys think of the other 4 Options avaliable from Eshine in 128oz Size?

    1) Detailer's Pride Xtreme Foam Formula Auto Shampoo
    2) Duragloss #902 CWC
    3) Poorboy's Super Slick & Suds Wash
    4) Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

Now i have been using the Maxi-Suds in a Wolfgang Foamaster Foam Gun via a Garden Hose and just love it. Should i stick with CG M-S II or try one of the Other 4 options? CG M-S II is just Priced Right!

    Thanks in advance

I would go with Maxi Subs over the other choices.

CWG is too strong for maintenance washes.

Out of those I'd go with PB's Slick & Suds. Its a great soap, smells awesome, foams like crazy and is lsp safe.

why don't you get a few samples first and compare them to maxi suds before you buy so that your not stuck with a gallon of wash soap that you may not like? Maybe eshine can send you samples of all of the above for a token fee?

I would stick with what you have used for past summers or see if Chris can get you a gallon of Optimum Car Wash.

I have both the CG CW&G and CG MS-II. CG CW&G is great for LSP stripping and I don't trust using it as a maintenance wash. CG MS-II is priced great and foams quite well. As someone else has mentioned, Optimum Car Wash isn't bad either. It smells quite good.

PB's Slick & Suds will foam up nicely in the foam gun.

CG wash and gloss is good and safe if you use the correct dilution. Even no not so great durability carnubas its safe.

The Duragloss and the Poorboys will both foam up well in the foam gun.

    Guys,

What's your opinion on Meguiars Gold Class shampoo? I just picked up a few of these at Target ($5.99 for 64oz). I love using this shampoo.

But my question, on the bottle it says that it cleans and "conditions" the paint. What does that mean? Does it have any wax stripping properties? I hope not.

    Thanks.

I think Meg's GC is a great soap for OTC and especially at that price. However, like many other soaps mentioned here, there's better out there. I'm not sure about the "conditions" part, maybe it means it's leaving some type or protection behind?

I'm not sure if it strips. I have always had a Meg's Deep Crystal as a go to OTC shampoo. It doesn't strip and has great lubricity.

I have but its over priced IMO, it does foam up nicely and cleans well, but I find that Maxisuds II foams up and cleans better not only that its like a 1/3 of the price I use it weekly for snow foaming and it works great. I would stick to Maxisuds II for foaming ith your foam gun and then wash with Duragloss #902. If you can get Majestic Solutions to ship to Toronto then go with Majestic Solutions Ultra Gloss.

Its a good OTC soap that has better lubricity than most other OTC soaps and it will not strip your LSP, just use at the proper dilution its 1oz per gallon. I used to use it for years it foams up decently as well, in a foam gun I mean never tried it as a snowfoam. Check out the description on it on Meguiars:)
