I have a customer who has a build up of Aquapel on his windshield. Appears the previous application was still present and he applied another coat. The windshield now has two lines where the wiper blades stop that appear to be mounds of Aquapel. I've tried just about everything I can think of. I need help. Thanks!
yeah prob will need to use polish or you can try running claybar nonstop or try Gtechniq G4 as its quite a deep glass cleaner that may do something to it. or plastic razor blade across as a last resort
I have seen this happen with Rain-X as well and was able to remove it with some 91% isopropyl alcohol albeit after multiple applications. The reason this happens most of the time is if the glass coating has not fully cured or the excess product was not completely removed when the windshield wipers are used.
I suspect the person having this issue belongs to another forum I frequent since the OP and this person are both in PA Anyhow, to provide some info below is what the owner has tried to date
Yes, Deep Gloss, I believe this is the same person! He has stopped by the shop a couple times to see if I have any other ideas...not that those were all mine. He stopped in today and I have no idea what to suggest. And I completely agree...this is definitely a case of over application and not enough cure time. Thought maybe some new readers might come up with something. Thanks!
