I used to think that soap is soap, whether I got mid-grade parts store stuff or low-grade parts store stuff. The soapy water was never lubricious, no matter how much soap I put in. However, I worked at a car dealership while out in college, and the soap they had made the water way lubricious, making me thing there may be a difference in soap. But, I also have very hard water at home in NJ and the dealership water was softer. So... Does hard water make soapy water less lubricious? What is a good lubricious soap for hard water?
Hard water does effect the suds and the best soap I've used to combat this problem is Adams car shampoo. I also live in north jersey feel understand what you're going through.
Yep...I should have Googled first as that gave me an answer right away. I'll have to get a small bottle of Adams shampoo after I run out of this Meguiars stuff I have now. Anybody else have recommendations?
