So, its time for Spring and I really wanted to get my car looking good for cruising the beach. My last wax (Rubbish Boy's Original Edition) had just about worn off and I was ready to try something new. I Decided to try the new wax from Chemical Guys, Celeste Dettaglio: Mark Elsworth's signature wax. I was very excited to try this new wax from all the good stuff I have been reading on the VXR forum. I decided since i was trying a new wax, i would correct the paint as I had very light wash swirls and a few RIDS. I was going to try and 1-step with Menzerna Power Finish but that just wasnt strong enough for my hard paint so I used SIP & 106FA. I REALLY like Celeste Dettaglio. First off the wax smells amazing. Like nothing I have ever smelled before. Most waxes usually smell like fruit or chemicals, but Celeste Dettaglio smells of "Fresh". Very Light scent. Almost like a soap product a women would use. Very Heavenly. CG E-zyme smells very fruity, but this smells very clean. It makes it easy to use because it smells like i am in a women's bathroom. lol The wax goes on and off very easy with a cure time of 20 mins. I also like the look of the Celeste Dettaglio. Its a very crisp, sharp looking wax. E-zyme is very oily and I really like that oily look on dark colored cars, but the Celeste Dettaglio looks very crisp and clean, which I like alot on my metallic car. I like how it makes my car "pop" in the sun. Celeste Dettaglio is defiantly a favorite of mine and staying in my collection. The pics should say it all!!! Very nice detail, I like high end waxes because of there beautiful cases otherwise I wouldn't be able to differentiate them with any other wax
Looks good, and I like the subtle mods you have done. After seeing what seems like a zillion mustangs that are beat to hell, its nice to see yours and Danny's in such good shape.
^That is exactly what I was about to say, it is very rare to see such a pristine example of a Mustang of any vintage. Great work Handz, beautiful Stang! Where abouts in the OC are you btw?
Thanks man but unfortunately due to the recent collision ( a semi hit me) its not very nice looking anymore Its hologramed and swirled up the you know what due to the bodyshop "polishing it" not only that they removed Cquartz even on the panels that were not damaged:shakehead: I basically gave up on it and will most likely be selling it to get a low milage Terminator Cobra in either Sonic Blue, Silver, or my favorite Mystichrome.
Thanks Buddy!! I am located in the La Habra Area Dont give up bro. I have been there. My car has been to the body shop a few times from people bumping/hitting me over the years and it ALWASY comes back F'cked up with swirls and halograms everywhere. I always have to spend a week fixing this but dont give up!! Thanks buddy. I dont see very many mustangs like mine in as good of condition. Everytime i see a 94-98 Mustang its ALWAYS beat up to hell and beyond. I have only seen 1 other 94-98 mustang driving on the road that was a clean as mine.
Its hard man because I start to notice all the little things that is wrong with it like the vinyl on my door panels are all loose (been that way since I bought it), the shifter knob is eaten up since its leather, my chrome cobra R's are curb rashed from the previous owner, I also recently found out that the horn that beeps the alarm needs to be replaced due to the accident, and the new side mirror the bodyshop put vibrates like hell when driving I need to see whats up with it (it doesnt seem loose just the glass inside the housing shakes). I have minor imperfections here and there on the paint, its just a pita to see it that way... its just depressing. Its not as good of a condition as yours is due to the previous owners (its not bad either just not as mint as yours). And being black makes it a pita to keep up out here in the desert with all the dirt and dust. I am just ready for a new ride now, I have always wanted a terminator cobra so I am planning to find one with low milage 35k or below in great condition so I can keep it that way. I will however re correct the GT prior to selling it to leave it nice for the new owner. It just sucks because I have invested quite a bit of cash in it already and virtually of the aftermarket performance parts can not be switched to the cobra. Either way its will probably be a little while before upgrade since I am planning a vacation soon. I have a question for you man have you taken readings of your clearcoat at least the metal panels? I am wondering since you lightly correct here and there to keep it looking its best, what the thickness on it is now.
