I've been dabbling of getting into headlight restoration. I almost have my process completely down but so far the results are probably 85%. This is my in laws beater and I did it for free to get practise and to be a good son in law. Front view Before Close up Front Right Before Front Right After Fron left Before Front Right After These pictures were taken on my phone. Thanks for looking.
Just make sure your using opti-coat to seal the, or else they'll haze up again after a couple of months
I'm currently using a mixture that is wiped onto the lens using a blue scott towel. I've been tempted to try opticoat. Gale Force, These took 3 sanding steps and 2 polishing steps. Then a coating to add longevity and protection. Most of my discs are from the meguiars unigrit line.
Thanks slanguage. My avatar gives me a chance for people to react, in this case find it funny, without me engaging at all. With that in mind I try to change it up every month.
Thanks, they were very happy with the results just by looking at the lights, then father in law tells me night time driving, he felt so much safer, which is awesome. I'm going to give this service a big push to my market. Only if my state required no foggy headlights to pass inspection stations, it would "seal" the deal. Thanks for the positive remarks.
Very nice work, like others said be sure to add some protection to the lights to prevent it from hazing again.
