Griot's Garage Glass Cleaning Clay

Just got my Griot's Garage catalog in the mail today and saw they have a new clay. It is glass cleaning clay which I found kind of odd, is this just another lets just put a specialized name on this clay so people think I need it. I have a feeling it may be more or less aggressive than there normal clay.

Im guessing its just a more agressive clay possibly

That is what I thought, if it is more aggressive than there normal one then I may be inclined to try it on the paint if it is as smooth/soft as the yellow one.

 

i am assuming same as there yellow clay.

When we get some in at the shop i will try it out and report back.

They have some cool stuff for the garage. Wouldn't even consider using any of their products on a car!!

 

They have some decent products like there wheel cleaner is a alternative for P21s, polisher is more powerful than the other, nice glass polish, and some of the chems are nice. Some do cost a little more and some are about on par, but I never used there LSPs. The garage stuff is amazing, but wayyy too much for me.

 

Yeah they are proud of their stuff. I think of their garage accessories as the Brookstone of the man cave!

 

haha, nice to think about and how great it would be to gave it till you check out the price tag and then think well I could live without this.

So, who wants to test it and see how different it is compared to "paint" clay? ha

 

lol it also seems as if they want you to use the entire tub of clay with each use or something. thats a huge chunk of clay there.

 

I'm sure they would really like it if you used an entire bar on each window... lol

 

Just got their QD Quick Shine and it's among the best. I'm a QD junkie and this is hard to beat and the gallon price is right. Get's your paint darker and slick, what more do you want from a QD.

 

Seems overkill to have a glass specific clay. I have just used my soft clay on glass when needed.

Isn't the bulk of Griots stuff just relabeled CG stuff? A friend of mine had the undercarriage spray, and it was nearly identical to my CG bare bones.
