Well after 68Stang gave his review I decided to finally go out and get some Proline Grout sponges. I wound up getting 9 because...well I don't need a reason. You all know that. I'm pre-soaking them now in the sink, they are pretty damn soft! Smaller than the HD sponges, but softer. I also feel that they'll contour to the car better too. If anyone has trouble finding them at Lowe's look in the floor cleaning section with mops and such, this section was towards the front. The tile guy in the back said they only carry some other random brand, but I found these babies regardless.

Let us know what you think. Personally, I love those things, super soft, spread suds like crazy, rinse out completely clean, and large pores that absorb all the dirt and keep it off your paint.

Nice score! I had that problem at Lowe's too, but I gave up looking. I'll have to make another trip there soon.

Did you check the front? Why don't I just send you some in your package? Of course I'll have to smoosh them in there but they should retain back their shape easily.

They seem to get a lot softer after you soak them with hot water. I also noticed some black specks of crap in some of them so a pre-soak is a must.:graduation:

I love these things. They have been my dedicated wheel sponge for a while now. I am going to try them on paint this weekend. Might be time to ditch the sheepskin mitt.

Make sure you get a new one for the paint. Remember, no cross-contamination.

How much are these per piece? Might be good for wheel cleaning...

I have two and use them for ONR. I still like sheepskin more than these sponges.

$1.98, I think they are a little discounted if you can find them in a 6-pack.

They're definitely great sponges! However, I'm going to test out the Zymol sponge (thanks Ken!) this weekend on a F-350 dually. :)

I wonder how well the Zymol sponge stacks up to the Proline. :shead:

Do let us know. I've never tried the Zymol sponge, but from looking at it, the Prolines have much larger pores.
