As many of you know I loved my car, but it was time to go. I never drove it, 2005 with 25,000 miles, 10 in the last 3 months...... LOL With my work schedule and kids it was wasting away in my garage.........It will be going to a good home, one of my best freinds wanted it, so off it goes come Friday. Honestly I have tried putting off selling it, but I found a smoking deal on a GMC sierra I wanted which fits my needs..... sold one of my suburbans so this is taking its place. And I am pocketing some cash. 2008 GMC sierra SLT, 36k miles fully loaded; ill be doing a full detail on it soon, maybe a write up. sigh...............You will be missed, some gratuitous shots of her, with some friends and cars I detailed.
Sometimes we all gotta do what we gotta do. Congrats and good luck on the new ride and farewell to the old. Thats a nice looking truck.
Thanks, if we had only had one kid, I probably would have kept it, but I can use the money other places.......... kids come and the toys go.
Sierra... Are you going to be one of those people that drives without a load in the back all the time, or put it to use? Just out of curiosity how much did you let her go for?
Sorry to hear you had to sell your "baby" as I would call all the nice cars I sold over the years to make room for kids, braces, school, activities, clothes, activities, shoes, clothes, activities, (we had 2 girls), kid's cars, fixing kid's wrecked cars, replacing things that got stolen out of kid's cars, the list is never-ending. But it is so worth it !! AND, that is a really nice GMC in your driveway !!! I have always liked those trucks, but could never find what I wanted when needed one. Looks like you did great ! Your beautiful STi is also going to a good home so that is always nice too - and you will see it again, I am sure. Your buddy is so stoked to have such a nice, well taken care of and extremely Detailed car as yours !! It is a win-win ! Thanks for sharing the story and pics !! Dan F
Thats the exact truck we are looking at as well. And Luke, I'm never putting anything in the back. Don't wanna scratch the paint!
I have 5 snowmobiles, and a big ass trailer, a boat, I wand ork for my dads ranch part time, im always in the dirt, I do actually use my trucks LOL........ so nothing in the back its all on the hitch LOL I got 27500.00 for it as it sits, he paid full KBB plus for KW Tarmac2 coilovers, two sets of BBS wheels, two sets of brand new RE-11s, 18x9 WORK wheels with brand new RE-11s, the suspension was all perrin front and rear sway bars, endlinks, stout mounts, Perrin intake, perrin radiator hoses, Goodrich SS lines, DBA 5000 two peice rotors, PFC pads front and rear, and some other stuff I honestly do not remember putting on there.
yeah, I told him to bring it to me every so often and ill clean it up for him, its going to be a daily driver with two kids, its gonna get trashed LOL.......
Great looking truck, as well as STi. I'm contemplating a similar move with my Evolution IX SE. Just not sure what I want to do, though...
+1 !!!!! It was a beautiful STI. I'm really glad it is going to a good home though. Would hate to see some new teenage driver beat on it until it dies.
Yeah, I refused to sell it to any ken block wanna be dude bros, I actually had some kid a year ago offer me cash (daddys money) i was cool with it until he asked if Ive ever done a donuts in the snow with it, never called him back... Don't worry, give me a year or so, and ill find something else I want, I was looking at the new CTS-V and an IS-F the other day, i know different market segment, but I just turned 37, i want a balance of performance and comfort.
I know you liked your STI Kilo, but that truck is no slouch, and may be a nice change of pace. Best of luck with your new truck. I like it!
No Karl No! Well at least you have a nice GMC in the drive way, please tell me its a 4 wheel drive Sierra
No, i got a 2wd. I own a 4wd suburban as well, I think in the last 4 years ive used 4wd 1 time lol...........And for what I paid for it, 4wd won't be missed. But it does have the 5.3 v8 which i was not willing to compromise on. Since I do not tow my snowmobiles during the summer since they stay at my parents cabin all winter, it only really goes off road when im on the ranch in the vinyards.
that is a very nice car you have in the STI. very low kilometers for the year and very exterior look. congratulations. :applause:
