A member here ......................who has a Yellow Vette in his Avatar, thought it to do well to bang Bryan Burnworth on the Corvette forums on a silver Stingray Vette he is doing that QUOTE "Nice, but he is WAY to expensive".

I have been very nice lately as to get in wars online is not a good Christian witness being that some already hang the hypocrite tag on me(Well deserved at times.....) but stuff like this in the my recent past would have had me "Box up" the offending party if it was directed at me. Now hear this................................ if you cannot do it, or do not have a lift, or do not do the higher end cars consistently ..............................this is YOUR problem not the people who do it.

Get your butt in gear and develop the skills and proper marketing steps to put yourself in a position to attract and more importantly keep said type of client for the long haul, Bryan is a quality guy who WORKS all of his weekends AFTER doing his fulltime job making sure Delta Jets do not have mechanical failures........................ Just stop when something silly is forming in your mind to post.

I understand that a lot of enthusiast detailers, especially on a forum such as this, are capable of great results on their own cars. That being said, their opinion on "too expensive" isn't necessarily valid. Professionals such as Bryan have significant overhead (insurance, shop rent, marketing costs, and the time it took to amass YEARS of experience on MANY different paints and not just what currently sits in your garage, etc). I've personally worked with Bryan, seen how clinically spotless his work area is, the unbelievable amount of money he's invested in tools, products (important to have many different polishes in case your go-to doesn't work), a lift (to do proper wheels-off details), etc. His garage is more well-equipped than many with dedicated shops.

At the same time, his reputation has been built on years of work, satisfied customers, referrals and standing as one of the best in this industry. If people weren't willing to pay his prices, he couldn't charge them, and neither could any pro doing high-end work. The market dictates pricing, not the opinion of someone on a forum. Any forum.

Lastly, I find it appalling that SOME enthusiasts will come to forums, soak up info from these professionals from the hours it took them to make an exceptional write-up with photo documentation, products and processes, etc. and then turn around and take that knowledge and bash them with the "I could do that detail just as good" mentality. Maybe, maybe not. But without them showing you how, you DEFINITELY couldn't. No one is born with the inherent knowledge of how to polish paint, we learn it from others. Show some respect to those that teach us. Thanks.

    Rant over.......for now.

I'm a firm believer that people should STFU about what people are charging. 99% of the time the stupid comments are from jealous haters that are mad because they don't have the experience, ability or knowledge to get a high end price for their services. I also can't stand it when people say "detailing isn't rocket science" and "anyone can't produce the same results". Really makes them look stupid. :shakehead:

Agreed, David. If I could add one more thing, Bryan's prices are totally in line with what most other established, well-respected detailers are charging. There is clearly a market for it and it's not for everyone. Heck, even the owner of that C7 realized this. He titled the thread Getting Detailed by One of the Best....not One of the Average. Reputation plays a big part in this business, as in any luxury service. When someone chooses Bryan or Bob or Marc Harris or any of the top guys, they know they are going to pay more but they also know they will get guaranteed results. There are no guarantees with a guy picked at random from the Yellow Pages, or a guy with an old Porter Cable that lurks forums here and there.

Sounds like the opinion of someone that would take his car to have the local swirlomatic to detail. Bryan is a top notch stand up guy whom delivers quality work at a fair price.
