Which do you think is a better soap for taking care of your finish? I have not used either one of these soaps and was thinking about trying one for the winter. I like the dilution ratio of Glossworkz and you can buy a gallon but I need more input.:shead:
I love glossworkz. You can stop by my place to get free soap samples at any time. Just PM me. I got glossworkz/ultra-gloss/DG 902/Zaino and others.
I have not tried Glossworkes,but use Perls.It is ZERO foaming but is super slick and cleans nicely with no chance of stripping LSPs.The smell is hard to explain,nice tho.I put a couple drops in my ONR clay lube as well.Its one of those things I tried, it does what it says, and I just cant seem to get myself to permanently switch to another. Customer cars get CG Citrus Clear and ZEP to strip or OCW for maintenance washes.
Glossworkz is a good maintenance wash and has kept my 2 coats of Blackfire Wet diamond strong since the beginning of August. I dont use the suggested 1oz for 5 gallons of water its not as slick that way. Yesterday I used 1.5 oz in about 3 gallons it works alot better this way. I follow it up by using CG Pro-Detailer after I dry with my blower. It leaves my black mustang gt nice and glossy. But I will be getting Majestic Solutions Ultra Gloss after I go through my gallon of Glossworkz. MS UG is way so much better and slicker than Glossworks it also is cheaper by the gallon. I have some samples i got from JL, its just a better soap once you try it you will be hooked.
I do agree that MS Ultra Gloss is slicker than Glossworkz, but I think Glossworkz is "glossier" than MSUG. Do you happen to have Aquawax? An aquawax wipe after a glossworkz bath looks so dripping wet.
Can anyone tell me which vendors carry glossworkz? I only know CG and DI and CG by the gallon pricing is a bit high.
IMHO, I tried both and like Perls better. However, there is a soap that I like better than those two. Car-Lack 68 shampoo. Can be ordered from Werkstat's.
You basically have to get the Glossworkz dilution pretty close, too much or too little is grabby. Try mixing UG and Glossworkz.
+1 for the MSUG suggestion. I've used all three glossworkz, perlz and MSUG. I like MSUG best, just a great maintenance soap.
GDAL I dont have aquawax but would like to order some in the future. Reflect I just used 1.5oz with 3 gallons a few days ago. This was by far the best results I have gotten using Glossworkz, and I have experimented with it quite a bit already since I have a gallon. My friends and family noticed it this time and without me saying anything to them at all. My girlfriend, best friend, and mom who saw my black Mustang GT that day all said it looked alot shinier, and asked what did I do. I even noticed it had a wetter look to it after I was don washing. I will be washing at this dilution from now on.
1z perls reminds me of ONR,. It must be wiped down completely or it will streak meaning it leaves glossing agents (or something behind).
MSUG is hands down one of the best soaps I've used. G has some, he'll hook you up. If not, I'll send you some.
Stay on me about it, holiday seasons are crazy. I can't ship it out in the next few days, for obvious reasons, but next time I have some free time I'll ship you out a sample.
