Gloss it Backing plate coming apart?

what do you guys think? ordered on 06/17/10 and used 3 times with uber pads.

 

wow that sucks. I have yet to hear that happen. I would suggest contacting Gloss-It and seeing what they can do in terms of customer service. Just explain to them the situation and see where it goes. If they give you the run around for some strange reason order one from Phil.

 

yep I email Rich n see, I had Phil's 3in uber backing plate, but I sold it to my buddy, I will pick one up again maybe =)

I sold it to upgrade to this gloss-it backing plate, I never experience bad customer service, but let's hope gloss-it does the right thing. cuz I pay top $ for this one.

 

You could always get these, which are cheaper I believe:

Ultra Soft Backing Plate 125mm 5/8UNC

75mm 5/8UNC Backing Plate

I like 'em.

Plus he's a sponsor, and great service as well.

 

I've heard those foam ones are no good for small sizes like that. Try this one, it might look familiar.

I agree with Roger, I have both of those backing plates, and love them!!!

 

Yeah, the BPs I got from Ben work really well, believe it or not. I'm definitely glad I ordered two of each of the 125mm, 75mm, and 50mm BPs.

 

2 days no response from gloss-it. o well I guess no more gloss-it for me

 

I know they were at Hot Summer Nights car show in Reno so I don't think they were in the office.

 

Rich is pretty good at looking after this kind of thing. Try calling and if he's not there I'm sure his guys will let you know when to call to reach him.

 

just an update, gloss-it hasn't reply back to me yet, it's sad cuz I really wanna try some of their products. well their service had not met my expectation. I guess I will pick up another uber 3 in BP

Uber products are majority Buff and Shine that are just stickered or print screened with a label

its about half the cost of "Uber" but Rick is nice enough guy he can probably ship in padded envelope with the piece padded. Only ordered from him couple times so far but great guy and doesnt try to sell you something you don't need.

Sorry to hear about your GI stuff.. I never liked their products as they are overpriced and under performing. Customer service was poor with me too.
