Owner of this recently bought this and wanted some life brought back into the paintwork as it was a mess and seen a few days of work put into it. No pics of the wash stages but process was: - Wheels cleaned with Epsuma Revolution Wheel cleaner (wheels to be refurbed in few weeks so not alot of time was spent on these as they are bad) - Tyres cleaned with Megs Super Degreaser- Foam with AG Powermax 3 - Washed with Megs Shampoo Plus and a lambswool washmit - Clayed using Sonus Green After all washing was done vehicle was taped up and measurements were taken with Positester 200 which showed a healthly amount of clear all over. Vents were removed from bonnet to allow me to machine in some of the awkward areas After trying a test panel to find a suitable combo I found the paint on this was rock hard and even 3M Fast Cut Plus didnt touch the swirls so I ended up trying Megs 105 on a Menz polishing pad and 4in LC light cutting pad which give me the following results. 50/50 BEFORE AFTER BEFORE AFTER BEFORE AFTER BEFORE AFTER BEFORE AFTER BEFORE AFTER BEFORE AFTER After all correction work was carried out I then went around vehicle with Menz 203s and then finished up with 3M Ultrafina on a 3m finishing pad. I then applied swissvax cleaner fluid to all paintwork by hand and topped this with Swissvax Divine, and few hours later paint was given a wipedown with Swissvax Quick Finish Leather was in a dire need of a good clean, this was done using LTT Strong and then protected with the Protector. Below is a 50/50 pic which clearly shows the level of grime removed. Lastly tyres were dressed with Zaino, wheels protected with Swissvax Autobahn, and all glass cleaned with Stoner's Invisible Glass. man that is sweet... I have a client with a black SL 600 and doesn't think it worth spending a few hundred bucks to make the paint look like that....
