I had some pretty messy windows on my Xterra and decided to pull Glass Scrub back off of the shelf to give it a whirl. CG Water Spot Remover didn't do much, but I applied it to a wet window rather than dry. I had a watery haze all over my windows from salt air settling on it and it raining, yada yada. I read the directions and it said apply the GSGS to wet windows, but since I already had washed and dried my car, I figured it just needed lubrication. I used a red foam applicator, coated the windows with Invisible Glass, and slowly work it in with light-mild pressure. It's a creamy white substance that would probably work with 0000 steel wool as well. I used it one round per window and I'd say it removed 80-90% of the water haze and severely dulled the remaining water spots on the window. I'd say two rounds would come near 100%. My windows are looking extremely clean and are glaring out in the sun. I'm pretty damn impressed with it, especially from pulling it back out of retirement. The best part about it is that it's pretty cheap, @ $5 for 10oz. I definitely recommend it for anything up to, and including, mid-range water damage on windows. I haven't tried it with 0000 steel wool but I'd imagine it'd clean a heck of a lot better.

Overall, for what it is, I'd give it a 4-4.5 out of 5. It would be nice if it cleaned all of the water spots off the first round, but then again I used a very ''light'' applicator. Make sure to lubricate the surface before use.

Hey, Have you tried using a PC and m205 with an orange pad? I have and it will remove almost all of the water spots. then all you have to do is seal the windows with some kind of sealant and the water will sheet just like any other part of the car. I also have tried a glass system from a vendor from another forum with excellent results. Just my .02 cents

I have used a compound and polishing pad on my old car but it made a lot of spider webbing and I didn't try it again.

Thanks for the review Kyle. Have you applied the aquapel treatment yet?

Just did after all this today, thanks again! It was pretty easy, except I left the applicator on the windshield to switch to the other side and it left a little mark, which I had to buff with glass cleaner. It's supposed to rain tomorrow so we'll see how it goes.

Glad I could help dude. I almost picked up some glass scrub the last time I went to the auto parts store. I'll definitively pick up some soon.

It's pretty good stuff. Keep the area well lubricated and don't apply too much pressure and you should be good. It's good for hazyness, adhesives, little marks, yada yada. Can't wait to check aquapel in the rain, thanks again bro.

Note: I've heard their Rain Clear Gel isn't really that good, but I've never tried it.

Glass Science Glass Scrub works great with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for more polishing bite if you don't want to use #0000 steel wool. If you use the glass scrub with a magic eraser and then claybar the windows you'll pretty much take care of of all the spotting. I can usually take care of what is left with an AIO like KAIO or JW Prime(Strong). I haven't really used any of my glass polishes in a quite a while because this method usually takes care of everything.

Yeah I've heard that wasn't good. I have Aquapel on my windshield courtesy of GDAL and I'm pretty impressed so far watching it in the rain. Extremely tight beading and it sheds water quite well.

had a chance to use this today.....used it with a ag perfect palm and it seemed to work decent, then switched to a mr clean magic eraser and was very very pleased with the results. i would say 80-90% effective and it removed that annoying wiper blade semi circle from the front and rear glass.
